Yep- they were hyping the threat if bird flu back in the 90’s i believe it was- i remember it was around then because i was on a pretty heavy drug for cancer (but it was for another health problem, not cancer) and it was wrecking my immune system and i was gettign all kinds of lung infections- and ended up in hospital a few times- and then word of the bird flu came out and the media went nuts saying it was gonna cross species and wipe everyone out practically- I remember thinking then that ‘oh great- just what i need right now- a virus that attacks the lungs’
