A mother is suing American Airlines after her 14-year-old son died from a heart attack on one of the planes in 2022.
The federal lawsuit alleges that the plane’s onboard defibrillator did not function correctly and that the flight crew was not properly trained to use the medical equipment.

Young people dying of heart attacks. I expect to see a lot of lawsuits. But most of those suits will not be aimed at airlines.
The question is…why are 14 year olds having heart attacks on planes today?

Defibrillators don’t always work when the heart attack is severe enough. They didn’t help my dad any and EMTs tried for a while.
Defibrillators seldom work.even on a witnessed full arrest where cpr is started immediately. At least in my experience 35 years big city fire department.
Get a jab, side effects could be death, paralysis, memory loss, and Voting Blue... 🤓
It’s good it didn’t happen while they were still in Roatan. The main hospital burned down in April. The private hospitals require full payment and don’t take insurance. Who would she have sued then?
