Thanks for that suggestion! Salamander has been through a lot.
I went through this last year. An electrical fire inside the wall pretty much destroyed the upper level. What the fire didn’t damage the fire department did!
Contact the Red Cross; they were very helpful to us. The Salvation Army helped us with clothing, blankets and odds & ends. Hope Hubby is OK . . .
PM me with an address where we can send monetary help. I hope you have some form of insurance.
My prayers are with you I certainly understand what you’re going through as my house burned in May.

We have insurance but now I have a three legged dog and nowhere to live and he has checkups coming up soon.

This is a very traumatic event and I don’t know you at all, but I will pray for you. I encourage you to accept help from any friends/family, and rather than focus on what you’ve lost, be thankful for what you do have - your Hrafi and your life, your car, and everything else you can think of. That will help you get your emotions under control. This is a big event, but breathe in, breathe out, don’t think of the overwhelming big picture (not everything has to be solved instantly) and just focus on what you need to do for today. You can get through this.
Don’t take on everything at once or nothing will get done. You need clothing and a place to stay. Do that first, Red Cross and Salvation Army.
Where do you go to church? Call and ask them to help also.
I presume you are insured?
