I wish good health to all Ukrainians, both men and women!
Our active international work doesn’t stop for a single day. Today, I spoke with President Erdoğan of Türkiye, and this marks the ninth international conversation this week. I have already talked to the President of Finland, the Prime Minister of Canada, the President of South Africa, the Prime Minister of Norway, as well as the President of France, the UN Secretary-General, the President of the United States, the Chancellor of Germany. The main goal in all these discussions is to protect lives and people, peaceful people, and prevent destabilization from spreading to other regions of the world, not let our work in consolidating the global majority for international law go to waste. I am grateful to all the leaders for their support and understanding that it’s time for maximum joint efforts.
With President Erdoğan, we discussed the situation in our Black Sea region, aggression against Ukraine, aggression against global security, and the situation in the Middle East. It is very important to protect peaceful people, it is very important to prevent the escalation of new large-scale humanitarian crises, and important to work together to quickly restore the full force of international law.
We are actively preparing for a new Peace Formula meeting, which is scheduled for next week and will take place in Malta. Significant world powers will be represented, and the list of participants is growing practically every day. We expect over 50 participants. Today, President Erdoğan confirmed that Türkiye will participate in the meeting. We are also getting ready for a new summit of our Crimea Platform, at the parliamentary level. The number of participants is substantial. The summit will be held in the Czech Republic. I am grateful to everyone around the world who has joined and is ready to work with us at the parliamentary diplomacy level for the sake of security and peace throughout Europe, without any exceptions for any parts of our continent.
A very significant step by President Biden this week – I am sincerely grateful for it. A new package of long-lasting and reliable support for Ukraine has been prepared – defense and economic – for our protection of people and freedom. I am thankful for this initiative by President Biden, and I believe that not only Ukrainians but all nations, all free nations in Europe, are expecting the preservation of American unity with our defense. American leadership is needed for the world, and I am grateful to both parties in Congress who understand this and support, in particular, our people’s struggle for independence.
And, of course, our warriors. Thank you to each and every one who is currently fighting, in combat positions, and at their posts! Avdiyivka direction, Maryinka. Bahmut direction. Kupiansk, Lyman directions. Our Zaporizhia. Our Kherson region. On the frontlines and deep within the occupied territory, our warriors have made this week very significant for Ukraine. Now, I want to express my gratitude to all our defense and security forces – absolutely all of you! Every unit, every warrior, every commander who has achieved the necessary combat results for our state during this week. Glory to you, warriors! Glory to our entire nation!

Day 605 of the russian full-scale military aggression against Ukraine continues.
The enemy continues to ignore the laws and customs of war, uses terror tactics, and attacks both military and civilian targets.
During the day of October 21, there were 68 combat engagements. The enemy launched a total of 4 missile and 33 air strikes, more than 24 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements.
Unfortunately, the russian terrorist attacks have killed and wounded civilians. Private houses, apartment buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed or damaged.
The operational situation in east and south of Ukraine remains difficult.
VOLYN and POLISSYA AXIS: no significant changes. No signs of formation of an offensive group. Certain units of the armed forces of belarus continue their missions in the areas bordering Ukraine.
SIVERSHCHYNA and SLOBOZHANSHCHYNA AXIS: the adversary maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. The enemy continues to shell Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. About 10 settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Starykove, Bilopillya (Sumy oblast), Hatyshche, Budarky (Kharkiv oblast).
KUPYANSK AXIS: Ukrainian defenders repelled more than 10 enemy attacks in the vicinities of Synkivka Ivanivka (Kharkiv oblast) and Nadiya (Luhansk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 10 settlements, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Ivanivka, Kyslivka, Pishchane (Kharkiv oblast).
LYMAN AXIS: the Ukrainian defense forces repelled around 10x enemy attacks in the vicinity of Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Serebryanske forestry and Spirne (Donetsk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 15 settlements, including Nevske, Makiyivka, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Torske, Verkhniokamyanske, Spirne, Rozdolivka (Donetsk oblast).
BAKHMUT AXIS: the Ukrainian defenders repelled all adversary attacks in the vicinities of Vasyukivka and Andriyivka (Donetsk oblast). The adversary launched air strike in the vicinities of Klishchiyivka and New York (Donetsk oblast). More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Ivanivske, Klishchiyivka, Andriyivka, Chasiv Yar (Donetsk oblast).
AVDIYIVKA AXIS: the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations with air support in the vicinities of Avdiyivka, Keramik, Stepove, Tonenke, Pervomaiske (Donetsk oblast). The Ukrainian defenders repelled around 15 enemy attacks in the area. Also, the adversary launched air strikes near Novobakhmutivka and Novokalynove (Donetsk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at more than 15 settlements, including Novokalynove, Stepove, Avdiyivka, Sjeverne, Pervomaiske (Donetsk oblast).
MARYINKA AXIS: the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the vicinities of Maryinka, Krasnohorivka and Pobjeda (Donetsk oblast). The Ukrainian defense forces repelled more than 20 enemy attacks in the area. Also, the occupiers launched an air strike near Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast). Around 10 settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Pobjeda, Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast), were under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.
SHAKHTARSKE AXIS: the Ukrainian defenders repelled all enemy attacks near Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Staromaiors’ke (Donetsk oblast). The invaders launched an air strike near Staromaiorske (Donetsk oblast). Around 10 settlements, including Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Urozhaine (Donetsk oblast), came under artillery and mortar fire.
ZAPORIZHZHIA AXIS: the Ukrainian defenders repelled an enemy attack north of Pryyutne (Zaporizhzhia oblast). The occupiers launched air strikes near Mala Tokmachka and Novodanylivka (Zaporizhzhia oblast). Around 20 settlements, including Poltavka, Malynivka, Chervone, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka (Zaporizhzhia oblast), came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.
KHERSON AXIS: the occupiers launched air strikes in the vicinities of Burhunka, Mykolaivka, Tyahynka, Ivanivka (Kherson oblast). The settlements of Sadove, Stanislav (Kherson oblast) and the city of Kherson came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.
At the same time, the Ukrainian defense forces continue offensive operations in the Melitopol axis, offensive (assault) operations in the Bakhmut axis, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, and exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.
During the day of October 21, Ukrainian Air Force launched 12 air strikes on the concentrations of troops, weapons and military equipment of the russian invaders.
The missile troops hit 1 radar station, 1 ammunition depot, 1 anti-air missile system, 2 concentrations of troops, weapons and military equipment and 5 artillery systems of the occupiers.

In recent days, due to the intensification of hostilities, there has been a significant increase in casualties among Russian troops and equipment. This is especially noticeable in the area of Avdiivka in the Donetsk region, which the occupiers are persistently trying to capture, says a Ukranian military and political expert of the Information Resistance Group, Oleksandr Kovalenko in a comment to RBC-Ukraine.
“After the Russians began their offensive near Avdiivka, we continue to assess their losses from previous days because not everything can be counted right away. They have suffered quite significant losses both in terms of equipment and personnel, which were not previously possible to document.”
Furthermore, the enemy has resumed offensive actions on the Lyman-Kupyansk line. Therefore, according to the expert, the Russians have also incurred serious losses there, including in the direction of Makiivka and beyond. Kovalenko notes that there is currently a de-escalation of hostilities along the entire front line. The Russians are also facing problems on the left bank of the Kherson region. So, all of this, in conjunction with previous days, has resulted in a cumulative effect of significant losses for the enemy.
The expert adds that on the left bank of the Kherson region, there are currently operations of a diversionary and reconnaissance nature. “This is not a large-scale offensive with tanks or APCs. There is no large foothold to launch a wide-scale offensive from. There are diversionary and reconnaissance groups that conduct regular raids. This started a year ago after the liberation of the right bank of the Kherson region,” Kovalenko explains.

The Russians continue to build landfills in the temporarily occupied territories to serve the regions of the Russian Federation.
The enemy plans to build three landfills at TOT to store waste, including from the Rostov region. We are talking about landfills, not waste processing plants.
In the Rostov region itself, the idea of creating a new landfill was abandoned due to protests by local residents, and therefore the problem is being solved at the expense of TOT.
Currently, the enemy is developing project documentation for the creation of testing grounds.

In Canberra, President Gitanas Nausėda met with Australian Governor-General David Hurley.
The Head of State and the Governor-General discussed bilateral relations between Lithuania and Australia, economic and trade cooperation, support for Ukraine, as well as the partnership between Australia and NATO.
The President emphasized that the growing cooperation between Lithuania and Australia opens up huge opportunities for investment and trade, particularly in life sciences, financial technologies, and defense industries. President Gitanas Nausėda said he was confident that a large delegation of Lithuanian business and higher education representatives, which arrived together with him in Australia, would help to establish and develop mutually beneficial economic and academic relations. Gitanas Nausėda and David Hurley discussed the progress of negotiations on bilateral agreements between Lithuania and Australia, which would contribute to the development of business projects, student exchanges, and people-to-people contacts.
At the meeting, views were exchanged on further efforts to isolate the Russian Federation in the international arena and to continue the sanctions policy, which reduces the military potential of the aggressor. “In today’s geopolitical reality, where evil forces are coordinating their efforts to attack and destroy freedom-loving societies around the world, the security of the Euro-Atlantic and the Indo-Pacific regions is closely interlinked. Therefore, Lithuania deeply appreciates Australia’s military, political, and humanitarian support for Ukraine, which is facing military aggression. The entire free world has to stand together for Ukraine’s victory. Only such a victory will deter other potential aggressors in the world from being tempted to follow the precedent set by Russia,” the President of Lithuania underscored.
The Head of State invited Australia to join the reconstruction projects Lithuania is running in Ukraine, as well as Lithuania’s initiative to form a mine clearance coalition, which would mobilize efforts to clear the territories of Ukraine that have been liberated from occupation.
The meeting discussed the partnership between NATO and the Indo-Pacific region, which was consolidated at the NATO Vilnius Summit, and which strengthens global security and the rules-based international order. The common interest of both regions in reducing their dependence on the Chinese market and the importance of cooperation in building resilient supply chains for key technologies and materials was also addressed.
