It was an eventful day.
U.S. Secretary of Defense Austin paid a visit to Ukraine. The delegation also included Supreme Allied Commander Europe, Mr. Cavoli. It was a very productive conversation, and it is important that it took place on the eve of the new meeting in the Ramstein format.
Of course, we discussed the situation on the battlefield and its prospects – how we can enhance both our defense and our advancement. There is a new defense package for our country from the United States. I am grateful for it. In particular, there will be more artillery – shells that are needed right now.
We also discussed Ukraine’s actions in the Black Sea and the protection of our export corridor. Freedom of navigation is a fundamental value for the entire world, and Ukraine has proven here in the Black Sea that we are capable of driving the aggressor out of the water area that it wanted so badly to make dead.
I am grateful to all partners who are helping us to ensure the real restoration of international law on our land and in our sea, and I am especially grateful to the United States for its continued leadership in support.
Normal life in the world largely depends on whether America is strong in protecting life. And the world sees this strength in helping Ukraine.
I held several important meetings today. The first one was about planning our international communication for the coming weeks. There will be relevant events. I also held meetings with the heads of the intelligence services – both the Main Intelligence Directorate and the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine. Both are working efficiently, and I am grateful for that.
A meeting with Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. Mostly about current issues – things that the government is currently implementing. But also about our relations with some partners.
In particular, the Prime Minister reported on his talks with representatives of Bulgaria and Romania, which is clearly a growing area of cross-border cooperation. I am grateful to our partners. This includes the work of the maritime corridor, the Danube export cluster, and the overall trade turnover between our countries. With Romania alone, we see the potential to reach 4 million tons of trade turnover by the end of this year. This is very powerful and very supportive not only for our country, not only for jobs in Ukraine, but also for partner countries. The whole region grows when neighbors cooperate.
I am sure we will expand our cooperation. Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova, Ukraine, and the entire European Union are absolutely interested in making our ties stronger. Because later on, this strength is reflected in the growth of our ability to defend ourselves – to defend freedom.
I thank everyone who helps Ukraine! I thank everyone whose job is to make Ukraine, our people, and our children more secure. And I thank every Ukrainian soldier, every sergeant, every officer of the Defense and Security Forces of Ukraine, everyone who defends the state and truly cares about human life!

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, who is on a visit to Ukraine. The U.S. delegation also included Commander of the U.S. European Command and Supreme Allied Commander Europe Christopher Cavoli.
The Head of State expressed gratitude to the President of the United States, his administration, both houses of Congress and the entire American people for the unwavering powerful support of Ukraine, first of all military, which is very important in the context of full-scale aggression of Russia. The leadership role of the United States in the formation of an international coalition for defense assistance to our country was emphasized.
“We are extremely grateful to President Joseph Biden. It is very important for us that the United States stands with us. We count on your support and we are proud that you are with us,” he emphasized.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted the importance of the visit of the American delegation on the eve of the next meeting in the Ramstein format, which is expected to strengthen Ukraine’s position on the battlefield. In this regard, he informed in detail about the current situation at the front, strategic goals and priority needs of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. He emphasized the crucial importance of continuing the uninterrupted supply of all necessary weapons and ammunition by the Allies.
The President particularly emphasized the need to boost Ukraine’s capabilities in the run-up to the winter season.
The parties also discussed freedom of navigation in the Black Sea and ensuring the functioning of an alternative “grain corridor”.

Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak met with CEO of Fox Corporation Lachlan Murdoch, who arrived on a visit to Ukraine.
The meeting was also attended by The Sun journalist Jerome Starkey and Fox News Channel journalist Benjamin Hall, who was covering the war in Ukraine, was seriously wounded on March 14, 2022 near Kyiv, was saved by doctors and has now returned to Ukraine.
The Head of the President’s Office emphasized that the United States is a strategic partner of Ukraine, so it is very important that the American audience learns about what is happening in our country directly from the scene of events from the leading US media.

Deputy Head of the Office of the President Oleksiy Kuleba informed that in more than 630 days of full-scale Russian aggression in Ukraine, more than 200,000 objects have been damaged, 25,000 of them completely destroyed. The scale of Russian crimes against civilians was also illustrated by specific examples of residents of Bucha and Yahidne in Chernihiv region, and by Spaso-Preobrazhensky Cathedral as an example of cultural heritage.
Advisor to the Head of the Presidential Office Dariia Zarivna spoke about the crimes committed by the Russian Federation against Ukrainian children. As of today, 554 children have been killed, the youngest of whom was only two days old. 19 thousand 546 children, on whom there is confirmed information, were abducted and brought to Russia by force and fraud, but in fact this figure is much higher and may exceed a hundred thousand. So far, only 386 young Ukrainians have been returned.
Joint international efforts are needed to counter this wave of crimes against our children, and that is why President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has initiated the Bring Kids Back UA strategic action plan, which can be joined by any country, organization or individual and which is in line with clause four of the Ukrainian Peace Formula on the release of captives and deportees.
“Today it is very important to know the truth and to tell it. I hope this will be useful for a deeper understanding of what is happening in Ukraine today,” said Andriy Yermak.
As part of Lachlan Murdoch’s visit to Kyiv, the Head of the Office of the President and the CEO of Fox Corporation visited Mykhailivska Square. They laid flowers at the Wall of Remembrance of the Fallen Defenders of Ukraine.
Lachlan Murdoch also visited the National Conservation Area “St. Sophia of Kyiv”, where he was told about the history of St. Sophia Cathedral.

Day 635 of the russian full-scale military aggression against Ukraine continues.
During the day of November 20, there were 54x combat engagements. The enemy launched a total of 3x air strikes, 12x MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. russian terrorist attacks have unfortunately resulted in deaths and injuries among civilians. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains difficult.
VOLYN and POLISSYA AXIS: no significant changes. No signs of formation of an offensive group. Certain units of the armed forces of belarus continue their missions in the areas bordering Ukraine.

KUPYANSK AXIS: the enemy conducted assault operations in the vicinities of Synkivka, east of Petropavlivka (Kharkiv oblast), where Ukrainian defenders repelled 10x attacks. The invaders fired artillery and mortars at more than 10x settlements, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Ivanivka, Berestove (Kharkiv oblast).
LYMAN AXIS: the adversary conducted no offensives (assaults). The occupiers fired artillery and mortars at around 10x settlements, including Nevske, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Verkhnokamyanske, Torske, Rozdolivka, Spirne (Donetsk oblast).
BAKHMUT AXIS: the invaders made failed assaults in the vicinities of Klishchiivka, Andriivka and east of Pivdenne (Donetsk oblast), where Ukrainian defenders repelled 19x attacks. More than 10x settlements, including Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Andriivka (Donetsk oblast), came under artillery and mortar fire.
AVDIIVKA AXIS: the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations east of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove and Avdiivka (Donetsk oblast), where the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 7x attacks. The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 15x settlements, including Oleksandropil, Keramik, Avdiivka, Sjeverne, Tonenke, Pervomaiske (Donetsk oblast).
MARYINKA AXIS: the adversary made unsuccessful assaults in the vicinities of Maryinka, Pobjeda and Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast), where Ukrainian defenders repelled 10x attacks. Around 10x settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Maryinka, Novomykhailivka, Pobjeda (Donetsk oblast), were under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.
SHAKHTARSKE AXIS: the invaders conducted assault operations west of Staromaiorske (Donetsk oblast), to no success. Ukrainian defenders repelled 2x assaults in the area. Around 10x settlements, including Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Blahodatne, Urozhaine (Donetsk oblast), came under artillery and mortar fire.
ZAPORIZHZHIA AXIS: the invaders made failed assaults in the vicinities of Robotyne and northwest of Verbove (Zaporizhzhia oblast). More than 20x settlements, including Poltavka, Charivne, Mala Tokmachka, Mali Shcherbaky, Robotyne, Kamyanske (Zaporizhzhia oblast), Nikopol (Dnipropetrovsk oblast) came under artillery and mortar fire.
KHERSON AXIS: the settlements of Sofiivka (Kherson oblast) and the city of Kherson suffered from enemy artillery shelling.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their offensive operation on Melitopol axis and offensive (assault) operations on Bakhmut axis, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, exhausting the enemy all along the front line.
