Voting for Russia's presidential elections was disrupted today in the border region Belgorod amid new shelling and incursions of anti-Kremlin Russian groups from Ukraine that forced 'thousands' of people to evacuate.
Polling was suspended in Belgorod city after it came under artillery fire, with clips circulated by Russian news channels on the Telegram messaging app showing trucks and cars blown to pieces by the shelling.
Election officials were seen wearing bulletproof gear as they monitored voting on the first day of a three-day election expected to return Putin by a landslide.
Meanwhile, footage appears to show anti-Putin pro-Ukrainian partisan paramilitary forces active in Kozinka border village, on Russian soil.
The rebel forces appeared to have taken prisoners, as two men are seen blindfolded and being marched away.

There was reported to be 'panic' in the city of Grayvoron as people evacuated en-masse, according to the partisan Siberian Battalion.
Russian state media also admitted an evacuation.
'People keep leaving [Belgorod region],' said a report by state controlled RT.
'This is a queue at the petrol station. More cars are coming. All these people are from Grayvoron.'
Meanwhile in border region Kursk, 'more than 600 civilian vehicles used the evacuation corridor'.
