Winix is a 50 plus year old Korean company and I just trust them with stuff like purifiers and other appliances. (See also: LG, Samsung, etc...) Even though not all their products are made in Korea, the quality is usually pretty solid.

I have a relative with two cats who is loyal to the Winix “C” and “D” series that Home Depot sells. (Also on Winix website.) They don’t include the Plasmawave option which I’m okay with since I want to eliminate even the slighest risk of ozone to pets.

Should also note, during the height of Covid lockdown in California - I had to get more aggressive about dealing with fumes seeping through from weed smoking neighbors who were now at home all day. I became a sort of air purifier research fanatic LoL and Winix just always had the best consumer satisfaction results when its filtration performance was stacked up against other brands. High function plus affordability. Apparently their customer service line has people actually pick up unlike Levoit - which I only went with due to aesthetics/lightweight structure being better suited for me at the time. And because I knew I wouldn’t take advantage of the ‘Plasmawave’ technology. Now that I am more aware of Winix’s other models, will be making the switch. :) I am not a Winix salesman. Just like my air clean. :)

That’s a good thing - but, once again, the Craftsman warranty on tools is probably the closest to an actual lifetime warranty you’ll ever get - somewhere down the line, most companies do a “re-org” once enough of their products start having issues because the overhead becomes a liability.

I had a few windows replaced and a few years later the company did a re-org and, voila! No ore lifetime warranty - fix it yourself....

Had an ozone generator, from China, which failed to work in multiple outlets in a particular 28 stall barn, where fans, lights, portable radios all worked seemingly just fine. The machine would work elsewhere in other locations. There was a voltage drop/ faulty ground wire to the barn that tripped off the sensor in the ozone generator, and the voltage drop didn’t affect ‘simple’ electrical devices. The electrician was surprised that there was a problem, said it could have been a disaster fire in a rain storm. Discovered after a real electrician checked out my complaints to the farm owner after the farm manager’s inadequate repairs. .

FYI, electrical faults and live horses don’t coexist.
