"My World Is Empty Without You" is a 1965 song recorded and released as a single by the Supremes for the Motown label.
Written and produced by Motown's main production team of Holland–Dozier–Holland, the song's fast tempo accompanies a somber lyric which delves into the feelings of depression which can set in after a breakup.
It was one of the few songs written by the team for the Supremes to not reach number 1, peaking at number 5 on the US pop chart for two weeks.(snip)
In the view of pop historian Andrew Grant Jackson, the Rolling Stones' later song "Paint It Black" bears a strong resemblance to "My World Is Empty Without You".

The brass section helps to give this song power and resonance. Even though Diana’s singing voice is nasal and rather shrill, as was her style, the performance works well.
What she lacked in lung power, she made up with her clear pronunciation and realistic intonation while describing her predicament. The trombones during the verses help deliver an ominous tone. fitting well with Diana’s lament.

The Sax was a major part of the Supremes sound, especially in the early years. It was Pop/RB music, but with a mkld Jazzy base. The Stan Getz era of tenor sax.

They were a white band from Detroit, that signed to Motown, and that had a rock/soul/funk sound.
Look at how nicely dressed the girls are, as they sing live in a studio, surrounded by an orchestra. Motown often helped their singers find high class, scene appropriate clothing to fit the moment. No Nikki Minaj or Megan Thee Stallion strip joint outfits here!
