Police have found explosives, home-made bombs and a gun in a cinema in St. Petersburg.
The discovery was made in the city's Progress cinema, which has been closed for renovation for the past six months.
The Interfax news agency reported that prior to the discovery, three men from Kazakhstan were arrested who were in possession of four Kalashinkov rifles.
The arrest, by organized crime squad detectives, suggests that the weapons could be related to criminal gangs.
The country has been on a state of high alert following the recent terrorist attacks on a Beslan school, which killed more than three hundered, and two suicide bombings on flights within Russia.
Not exactly a new MO; it's been reported that they've smuggled many of the weapons into both the Moscow theater and the Balsan school. The only difference this time is the Russians found the cache before the Islamokazis could use them.

Could be they were planning another hostage scenario, so that means someone is nearby or guilty of planning to be nearby. Hope they find out who.
Maybe Russia will be the first to stem the tide of weapons by searching the ammo dumps er I mean the mosques.
Up here in Ontario, there are a couple of cases I know of personally where there were strange goings-on in movie theatres.
They were matinees where there were only a dozen or so people attending, along with about 24 Middle-eastern young men.
They were talking quietly, then one or two of them started running from front to back of theatre, stopping to check their watches. Then some would run out the door then run back in and check their watches. They would run a few steps, stop, look around, then run again. They continued with this bizarre behaviour for some time...really checking the place out, the timing, etc.
My friend left, very scared, and reported these happenings to police. She then heard from a friend of hers that the same thing had happened to her in a neighbouring city.
These people are going to strike, unless all of these "drills" were just meant to scare.
