As the Dims hold no real "power" in D.C., how is it that they can a) invite foreigners to "monitor" our election in the first place, then; b) pick those foreigners.

I thought all foreign policy contact was the province of the Executive Branch?

Thats a VERY fine article for such a small paper. And it's in a very democratic area. The Delta Democrat should be commended for it's work. I'd say, better investigative reporting than the NYT's and others ever did this election cycle. I hope K Spot and other sites post this and give them some recognition, thats deserved.

This was back when dems voted against dishonesty but now when it may further their cause he's appointed this position? Perhaps an early seed planted by which a legal arguemement could be made challenging unfavorable results, prior to other seeds and fraud sown by the dnc and their "legal" support groups.A "pro bono"(or some such) agreement needs to be agreed atwixt all parties to the looming ratnest. This election is not supposed to be a feeding frenzy paid by taxpayers and diverting attention.

"And it's in a very democratic area."

Greenville's always been a pretty conservative town, though the newspaper through the years was kind of liberal (Hodding Carter was editor for some years).

The dynamics of the town have changed quite a bit over the last 15-20 years, however. But it's still fairly conservative, especially compared to the rest of the nation.

The county will probably go for Kerry. Greenville's population has shifted now to 69% Black, and most of the blacks vote Democrat.

Aye, I know the area well. It will trend Kerry, which is a shame, because most living there believe more in bush policies than Kerry's. They just don't realize how blindly giving their vote to the Dems, they are now and have been for years, taken for granted. Well, maybe one year, they'll open their eyes and see whats happening to them.
