If the bomb hadd BBs or similar, the bomb was meant to kill many. How hard is it to see this and look for evidence or lack of?

There were reports of nail-size holes in a tree near the scene - don't know if true or not.

Mark Tapscott, Director of The Heritage Foundation's Center for Media and Public Policy, has reported on his blog that there are indeed holes the approximately the size of a 16-penny nail head on the tree located just next to the bench.
