Ping... Fake ID Ring busted at University of Oklahoma. "Experts say these IDs are virtually undetectable." The IDs are apparently coming out of Texas.

I lost count of how many guys I wound up referring to this kid who made them.

They busted a blonde female freshman with one and the name on the license was Jose Perez.
My roommate in college was hand drawing PA car inspection stickers and selling them to guys who could not get their car inspected.
The fake ID thing needs to be taken a lot more seriously. College (and some high school) kids act like it's all a big joke to buy and use these. They should be charged and prosecuted and serve prison time. Pass a law that denies federal loan subsidies to any student convicted of this crime, and denies federal funding of any kind to schools which don't promptly expel students convicted of buying, selling, or using fake IDs. Underage drinking is illegal, dangerous, and has turned most colleges (all of which are heavily taxpayer subsidized) into primarily social/recreational institutions rather than educational institutions. Controlling illegal immigration, terrorism, voting fraud, and identity theft are much more important than allowing underage drinking.
This issue goes to heart of the illegal immigration issue. Most illegals I encounter have very convincing ID's and work papers. Employers have no way or real incentive to verify their validity.

When I worked with a large university, most of the foreign students I knew had been contacted by counterfeiters and their prices were accessible. Some students wanted to stay in the US and paid for false documents. I would estimate that 90% of the illegals have false documents of some kind. The gummint has no way, they claim, to determine which are real and which are fake. It should be relatively easy to figure out how to do that.
Better yet, with an unbreakable photo ID with a thumb print for all Americans, this problem would disappear, but many resist that idea.
I wonder if Fazal Cheema has a fake ID. Since he's an atheist and not a practicing Muslim, he wouldn't be averse to drinking, right? ;)
