Lets just return the drinking age to 18 where it properly belongs.
Not until our laws are changed so that 18-21 year olds are no longer entitled to taxpayer subsidy of a 4 year party called "college", and criminal and liability laws are changed to hold people fully responsible for acts they commit while drunk or otherwise intoxicated.
I say jack it up to 25.
or...a major societal crackdown on underage and binge drinking would be welcomed too.
The drinking age should be brought down to 16, but driving should be gradually phased in from 18-21. By the time a kid can drive he will have learned that drinking is not a special initiation rite to adulthood.
Then make oppressively strict laws against intoxicated driving, and everyone is happy.
