"Someone saw him fiddling with it (the backpack) shortly before the explosion occurred. I think he got cocky, and it went off," Mauldin said.
I believe he went to the stadium, was going to drop off the backpack (with timer), saw he wasn't going to get through security, turned around and didn't quite have time to defuse his bomb. Luckily. ;-)
