The tea party started and the cash is flowing in. About 100K in less than ten minutes.

“His immigration “policy” what he has of one, is severely lacking.”

Ron Paul’s plan:

“The talk must stop. We must secure our borders now. A nation without secure borders is no nation at all. It makes no sense to fight terrorists abroad when our own front door is left unlocked. This is my six point plan:

* Physically secure our borders and coastlines. We must do whatever it takes to control entry into our country before we undertake complicated immigration reform proposals.
* Enforce visa rules. Immigration officials must track visa holders and deport anyone who overstays their visa or otherwise violates U.S. law. This is especially important when we recall that a number of 9/11 terrorists had expired visas.
* No amnesty. Estimates suggest that 10 to 20 million people are in our country illegally. That’s a lot of people to reward for breaking our laws.
* No welfare for illegal aliens. Americans have welcomed immigrants who seek opportunity, work hard, and play by the rules. But taxpayers should not pay for illegal immigrants who use hospitals, clinics, schools, roads, and social services.
* End birthright citizenship. As long as illegal immigrants know their children born here will be citizens, the incentive to enter the U.S. illegally will remain strong.
* Pass true immigration reform. The current system is incoherent and unfair. But current reform proposals would allow up to 60 million more immigrants into our country, according to the Heritage Foundation. This is insanity. Legal immigrants from all countries should face the same rules and waiting periods.”

What’s missing? Compare it to freds, yet?

Fred’s ideas:
“The United States is a nation of immigrants. Throughout our history, legal immigrants have brought energy, ideas, strength, and diversity to our country, our economy, and our culture. This must continue. But in the post-9/11 world, immigration is more of a national security issue. A government that cannot secure its borders and determine who may enter and who may not, abrogates a fundamental responsibility. I am committed to:

* Securing our borders and enforcing immigration laws. Amnesty is not an option and the toleration of “sanctuary cities” must end.
* Reviewing our immigration laws and policies to ensure they advance our national interests.
* Uniting Americans by welcoming legal immigrants willing to learn English, assimilate into our communities, and become productive citizens.”

I like Paul’s ideas better even though they are similar.

Ron Paul is The One who has been foretold, who will extract humanity from The Matrix. Take the red pill, Allegra, take the red pill.

There is only one politician out there for President who is honest and telling the truth.

Except for when he lies about supporting term limits.

Only one politician who has consistently taken a moral stand against corruption, waste and onerous taxation.

Except when he puts together dozens of porky earmarks that siphon money from taxpayers.

There is only one politician who addresses the issues of our massive deficit, the decline of the dollar, the massive inflation caused by the out of control printing of dollars by the Fed.

Our deficit is actually quite small, inflation has been almost nonexistent over the past seven years, and the dollar's recent decline is due to energy pricing - not to Fed action.

But I realize that Paulestinians like to make stuff up for dramatic effect.

There is only one politician who is actually trying to end the foreign involvements and wars which have left us bankrupt

Bankrupt? It's clear to me by now that you're not very good at math, but the US retains its AAA rating and remains the gold standard of credit worldwide.

,a soon to be third world country,

At this point it is evident that drug abuse has exacerbated your congenitally exiguous mental resources, but I'll point out that citizens of America's poorest state - Mississippi - have an average income and standard of living higher than all but two EU states.

no longer free and the laughing stock of the rest of the solvent world.

No nation on earth is more solvent than the US, with the possible exception of the tiny city-state of Singapore. And, of course, no nation on earth is even close to being as free as the US.

That person is RON PAUL. If America does not wake up and realize this, we are doomed to be a has-been great country.

So, in other words, if Ron Paul is not elected America will be doomed and if he is America will be saved. Or, more succinctly, in your mind Ron Paul is the Messiah.

If you don’t vote for Ron Paul, you will get what you deserve. Instant Karma.

This makes sense, I guess. You are so deluded that you ascribe divine powers to a decrepit paranoid, therefore it would follow that you believe in hippy dogmas like the existence of "karma."

If you want to continue with endless war, then why don’t you personally pay for it, and your children, and their children, and their children (on and on).

It may not occur to you Paulestinians, but most people outside your sad little cult do not reside in their mothers' basements living off undeclared tips from delivering takeout food.

Most of us work real jobs and pay taxes which support America's national defense. And some of us, like myself, have family members serving actively in the armed forces and also contribute more to the war effort above and beyond our significant contribution as taxpayers.

You know, to preserve the safety and freedom not only of loyal Americans and decent people, but also of cowardly freeloaders like yourself.

You're welcome.

Whats the deal with all the vitriol? Its sad, most of the Paul hating comments are identical in spirit to the Bush hating ones on the Kos. So alot of Paul supporters don’t want to have 50k troops stationed in Iraq for the next 30 years. That makes us surrender monkeys? Try and upgrade the conversation beyond an argument between grade schoolers please.

I responded to that bizarre post with a touch of humor because of its absurd claims.

I raised a number of factual points: Paul's lies about voluntary term limits, Paul's earmark derby, the lies about the US economy, etc.

I elevated the conversation significantly in my post - perhaps you should address the argument instead of wringing your hands about the tone.

Silly me, of course you were "upgrading" the conversation

You don't sound funny, you sound like an ass. And if you really want to have someone address you comments, maybe you shouldn't call them names.

Obviously I was. The poster I was responding to was spouting off nonsense like America becoming a "third world" country and talking about massive inflation that doesn't exist, etc.

A reality check is indeed an upgrade.

You don't sound funny, you sound like an ass.

Again, your boring opinions are irrelevant. Do you have an argument to make, or are you too obsessed with tonality to think?

And if you really want to have someone address you comments, maybe you shouldn't call them names.

The moron I was posting to is incapable of addressing my comments. That was clear from his original post.

No adult can ascribe magical powers to a politician and expect to be taken seriously.

Although, after reading the post you were responding to, I will admit he might have been just a tad bit over the top :)
