Alaskan Gov. Sarah Palin is a bold, first-term Republican governor, a former beauty pageant winner, a mother of five and, if a website of mysterious origin proves prophetic, she could be Sen. John McCain's choice for vice presidential running mate.
Scouring the Internet for possible presidential and VP combinations, most websites (such as McCainRomney.com, McCainHuckabee.com or McCainJindal.com) turn up as domain names for sale, general information sites about Republicans or simply non-existent.
The website McCainPalin.com, however, appears more legitimate than the others.
The page displays paid political advertising and the statement, "Welcome to McCainPalin.com the best source for information on the John McCain-Sarah Palin 2008 Republican Presidential Ticket. Stay tuned for important announcements."
Despite a report by Washington D.C.'s Roll Call last week that Palin had submitted paperwork to the Republican national office, Gov. Palin's Press Secretary Bill McAllister told WND that McCain has given no indication of choosing Gov. Palin as his running mate.

Worldnet Daily: Another swing - and a miss.
Could Palin be McCain’s choice? Sure.
But this website has NO value as a predictor.
ZIPPO. Nada. None.
I'm cool with it. Better than some of the other names that have been bandied about.
What is this mini-scandal that involves Palin that people keep alluding to but never really clarify?
Other than that she sounds great.
Well, there’s also a McCainsucks.com, if WND wants to get all technical.
In response to high oil and gas prices, and in response to the resulting state government budget surplus, Palin proposed giving Alaskans $100-a-month energy debit cards. She also proposed providing grants to electrical utilities so that they would reduce customers' rates. She subsequently dropped the debit card proposal, and in its place she proposed to send Alaskans $1,200 directly.
Wikipedia. I hope it's wrong, but these policies seem to be in McCain's wheelhouse.
Her or Cantor are my top bets here. The story of her last child is one of those compelling tales that will shut people up on the campaign trail. Cantor is as much the sort of fellow as I could want in the WH as can be but Mac may be looking for a little more “executive” type experience.
....like the kind Obama has? ; )
LOL!
It's going to be pretty hard for his camp to push that point on Cantor or Palin. Then again, Obama hasn't sealed the deal just yet...
Obby doesn’t have chance. I think the McCain camp might have realized that they have the chance to reassure a lot of us that are skeptical of him with a good solid VP pick. Then again, knowing McCain, he might see it as another golden opportunity to stick his thumb in our collective eye...
From what I know, I like her. McCain would be a shoe in.
Appears to be? hahaha
This is precisely why WND has no credibility. All their unnamed sources and opinions that take the place of facts.
I agree. Sure would be one of the best choices for a good looking elephant.
She may not have the experience for VP ...but the Dems got a freshman running for POTUS . She’ll learn quick , and it’s time we had a woman VP. I say GO .
Would that be considered taking the election for granite....?
I don't know why people want to turn this into a heart-tugging, beauty contest.
We are in a war, in a struggle against communism, islamofascism, and local enviro-wackoes, and looking at an economy that could go into the tank. So lets pick some leadership that could help on those problems.
The truth is that just about all domain name combos that have any realistic chance have been registered by SOMEONE. It would also make sense for the McCain people to preregister all possible combinations. What do “duds” cost them?? $4.95 each?
