"To McCain for President Campaign Headquarters"
If Senator McCain votes for the bail-out bill, kindly refund my donations to his Presidential campaign, totaling $xxx.
Of course, nothing will be able to compensate me and other solvent citizens for the loss of economic opportunity and freedom that this bill will cause, or to Senator McCain for the destruction of his campaign and his political legacy.
Sincerely, no longer yours,
An ex-banker
The Maverick was always an illusion to cover a pro-Liberal agenda.
Look, bud, you can have a Marxist instead
Sure not going to listen to any ex-banker. They’re the ones that got us in the liquidity mess.
Frankly, that's one of the things he's doing right. Why should McCain give a flying flip what you think or want?
Cry me a river. Take ball and go home we do not need you. We wil ldefeat Obama, the marxist loving terrorist appeasing messiah without you.
So you put the blame on individual private bankers for the mortage crises?
Why not blame the Democrats/liberals/Marxists and the government planners who were the ones who caused this “mortage crises” and the domino effect in the economy? We have separation of state and church. How about separation of State and the economy? That’s what needed. What has government not ruined? The government and Democrats caused this financial debacle with just one law: The Community Reinvestment Act, CRA. And now these same liberal idiots want to have more control of the economy they ruined.
“Bogus Discrimination Charges Led to Subprime Mortgage Crisis
A lot of subprime mortgage loans are defaulting. A big reason why is that, to avoid discrimination charges, lenders gutted their traditional lending standards in order to loan money to people with bad credit (bad credit is more common in some minority communities, so refusing to lend money to people with bad credit is alleged to have a racially disparate impact). The Community Reinvestment Act, which punishes banks that dont make loans in high-risk areas, is also a key reason why (it was enacted and then made even more onerous by the very politicians who are now shrieking about the mortgage crisis they helped create).
Economics Professor Stan Leibovitz explains how this happened in The New York Post. John Derbyshire comments at National Reviews The Corner, noting that political correctness, not predatory lending, triggered the subprime mortgage crisis.”

Let it ride. If McCain goes down in November, it’ll only be good for gerbil bedding anyway.
Before you start taking charge and telling everyone what we're supposed to do, you might want to reexamine your own usefulness. Think about it and decide if electing a Marxist is how we fix a problem with legislation we haven't even seen yet.
Look, no one was thrilled with McCain being our nominee, but the alternative is unbearable.
At least he does not hate our country. You need to get some perspective.
Reasoning like this is probably why you’re an ex-banker.
Do something?
Yeah rolling over and quitting and whining is doing something.
Pulling your support, which must have been tepid to begin with, is doing something. But is that something in the best interest of all of us??????
I don’t agree with McCain on many issues but I agree with Obama on none, zero, nadda.
Pull your support, open the door for Obama.
I will remember and if Obama wins, people like you will have no right to whine and moan at the state we find ourselves in.
How much did you give him? Let us know an maybe one of us can replace it and you can get your money back from McCain.
A lot of people WITHOUT subprime mortgages are defaulting. No way those bad boys in Carlsbad California are defaulting on their second and third beach homes are defaulting because they can’t pay. They’re just dumping properties worth less than the outstanding mortgage.
Actually not that many, but the banks built a false demand and produced a glut of homes that no longer support the value of the prior loans. Buy a clue! It's called supply and demand, the price correction makes all the fake paper worth 40 to 60% less than it is on the books for. The greed of banks poured the gas on the fire.
BINGO, and with more to come, when the house next to you sells for 50,000 less than you have in loan, watch how fast the walk away and take the deed to the bank works.
Kind of jumping the gun aren't you? Isn't there something else you could be doing on a Sunday afternoon beside panicking? Fickle, fickle, fickle. Nothing I hate worse than indian givers.
geez, get over it... go vote third party, that’ll show us
Ok, I will. I am calling you a pussy.
