Harry Alford of the National Black Chamber of Commerce is coming up as Sean Hannity's guest in the 2pm hour, Pacific time.
Alford would not take Barbara Boxer's condescension and what he considered racist remarks as he testified before the Senate. I'm sure Sean will replay the comments. He was outstanding.
On another thread, a FReeper made an erroneous charge that the National Black Chamber of Commerce excludes members based on race. That is absolutely not true. I read the bylaws and spoke with them on the phone at their DC offices. I discussed with them a project I may want to do in a minority community with some strategic partners. If that project comes to fruition, it would be in my business interest to join.
The charge that was made on the other thread was: This group excludes people based on race. That is racist. Although I have tried to get that FReeper to admit he was wrong, he has refused to do so. I hope it is clear to the rest of you. The group certainly has a racial component --- it is structured to promote black business owners. It does not, however, exclude based on race.
PALIN / ALFORD 2012
Both are Great Americans!
She is a midget Marxist that think’s she’s smart, she’s not...green jobs are when you work at the John Deere body shop, nothing more.
I wish I could find Harry’s email address.
Mr. Alford is the co-founder, President/CEO, of the National Black Chamber of Commerce, Inc. Website: www.nationalbcc.org. Email: halford@nationalbcc.org This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
I did a google search the other day about Chambers of Commerce and found Korean, Chinese, Jewish,Italian, Irish. It seems every group forms their own. I see nothing wrong with a Black Chamber of Commerce.
Thanks!!!
Thanks!!!
It would be wrong if they excluded other races from joining. They do not do that.
Mr. Alford is a patriot
I see nothing wrong with a Black Chamber of Commerce.
And I see nothing wrong with Boxer discussing the different point of view another “Black” organization had. Don’t call yourself the Black Chamber of Commerce and then get all indignant because someone follows your lead and talks about Black perspective. Can’t have it both ways.
I saw the Boxer-Alford clip and my take was that Boxer was telling him that he and the BCC needed to “get back on the Plantation” like all the other good black organizations.
Doug, if you can find the archive of this interview can you ping me? There’s a few people I’d like to email it to. Thanks -
It must be on YouTube somewhere.
Boxer was indeed condescending and racial. She was playing black plantation politics and got called on it. She just could not accept the fact that this black guy differed with other blacks. That was the problem.
What is the “black perspective?” That sounds like something a lib would say.
