Columbus was an explorer, nothing else. Is exploration to be poo-poo’ed now by the brave social justice warriors?

He was much more than that.
He was an evangelizing Catholic Christian.
On his later voyages he asked Ferdinand and Isabella to send priest with him to convert the Indians.
He also did as best he could to keep his men from taking advantage of the Indians.
He was a very Christian man. In my opinion worthy of Veneration at least.
