President Joe Biden, a Democrat, was widely mocked over the weekend after he posted a tweet in which he bragged about how the United States pays its bills on time by taking on more debt.
“The United States pays its debts when they are due,” Biden wrote in a tweet that also featured a video. “That’s why today, I signed a bill to fast-track the process to raise our debt limit.”
“This bill will reassure all the economic markets at home and around the world that we’re going to continue to pay our debts when they are due,” Biden says in the video as he signs the bill. “And that’s what this is all about.”

Well, Biden is not the first to understand he basic economics of debts and debt payments.
People do it all the time, b paying off one credit card by using another credit card to do it from. Works like a charm.
So, if I get a cash advance on my credit card and then use it to pay the credit card minimum due this month, that’s “paying my debt”? Aren’t I just going deeper into debt? Same logic, Joe!
I pay my bills too. In fact when I got that credit card offer in the mail today I immediately signed it and started charging payments on my previous cards. This level of corruption is criminal, and the media is complicit in committing the crime.
“An oxymoron without the Oxy…”
Quote of the year. Thank you!
Using that logic would make one mortgage their house to buy shoes for the kids. Eventually the family may not have a place to live but hey...they’ll have nice shoes.
I pay them by writing up my own I.O.U.s - just like the U.S. govt.
Regards,
I signed a bill to fast-track the process to raise our debt limit.
If you pay your bills with a credit card ever ting is good huh Joe.
