It is certainly true that Bush administration foreign policy became much too idealistic, bordering on otherworldly, over time. That doesn’t mean that, in reaction, we need to jettison all moral discernment in foreign affairs. Yes, Ukraine is a corrupt and ramshackle democracy, but there can be no doubt about its superiority to Vladimir Putin’s venal dictatorship, or about Russia’s culpability for launching a hideous war of aggression.
To say otherwise is to ignore all the relevant distinctions in this conflict — between who is the aggressor and who is the defender, who hates the West and who wants to join it, who gave up their nukes decades ago and who is making nuclear threats, and by the way, who has been winning against the odds and whose vaunted military machine has been repeatedly embarrassed.
In seeking to avoid the mistake of 2003, the restrainers are making their own mistake of 2022.

When I think of all the politicians with their hands caught in the cookie jar called Ukraine, it makes me physically wretch at the knowledge a few billion could die in order for them to cover up their crimes.
There is however a connection between Brandon’s crimes against humanity in Afghanistan and Putin’s in Ukraine.
If Putin invades a country for regime change, that is great. If the United States does that, it’s bad. If the United States doesn’t start a war, they did start a war and are war mongers.

There are Videos of Joe Biden from long ago saying that the only way we can lose in Iraq and Afghanistan is if we do not remain committed for the L-O-N-G term. He said Politicians using cheap arguments to not stay committed there would not be judged nicely by history.
He also said that War is a chance to change the Middle East forever, and change mankind.
Joe was central to funding those wars.
