I assume this is MacGregor doubling down on all his incredibly crappy predictions for this war, for the collapse of NATO, and how the U.S. would be easily steamrolled by Russia in a war because their military is so much more professional.
If the Ukraine is crumbling, then it sure is taking its time doing so. The Russians have barely been able to push them off their first line of fortifications west of Donetsk, and now they are dug in at their second line.
It’s like WWI western front. Gains are measured in hundreds of yards.

Either that or close to it. It was not one line but a succession of lines that Russians have had to break through, but it’s real close now. Hohos are gonna have to make a run for it from Donbass to the Dnieper over cow pastures with no place to run or hide and everything in the Russian mmilitary chasing and shooting them including large numbers of the new T90 tanks.
Ukraine is winning and winning big! They have stopped the Russians cold—they have not gained a kilometer of land in two weeks. They war will be over soon. All America needs to do is send more weapons and money. Once Russia is out, we will need to send more Billions to restore the land to its prewar glory. This war has broken Russia for good.

He said the same thing back in March...nearly 6 months ago.
It may eventually come true but he hardly had any foresight or credible analysis related to the same - it is indeed just narrative when it comes to what he has to say.
The fact that 6 months has passed would seem to suggest that they have not been successful in 6 months.
