The Republican Party of Reagan would be Ukraine’s strongest supporters
The Hill ^ | 03/24/2023 | MIKE ROGERS

In 1984 on the 40th anniversary of D-Day, Ronald Reagan ascended the windswept stage of Pointe Du Hook, Normandy to commemorate one of the greatest sacrifices in the defense of freedom the world had ever seen.

“We in America have learned bitter lessons from two World Wars,” Reagan declared. “It is better to be here ready to protect the peace, than to take blind shelter across the sea, rushing to respond only after freedom is lost. We’ve learned that isolationism never was and never will be an acceptable response to tyrannical governments with an expansionist intent.”

Nearly 40 years after he spoke those words, Reagan’s remarks should serve as a stark reminder and warning to leaders looking out at an increasingly unsettled world who are tempted by the siren’s call of American isolationism, rather than declaring and reaffirming the value of American leadership.

Make the world safe for perverts?

I don’t remember Reagan going for that.

I’ve heard speculation , such as talking about , what would Ronald Reagan think about things that are going on today?

Would Reagan be in favor of giving support to Ukraine? Does the World War II era worldview apply to what’s happening in Ukraine?

Well, a lot has changed since those days except that Reagan said that liberty can be lost in one generation.

Does this mean that the war in Iraq was justified?

After Russia surrendered in the cold War and broke up as the Soviet Union? Nope.

Doubtful: Ronald Reagan himself would have not been supportive of this Propaganda War because he would have been honest with America about its origins ( Obama and Crew taking part in the 2014 fraud election) and, Zelenskyy and crew’s abhorrent behavior towards of Eastern Ukrainians of Russian descent.

Reagan wouldn’t have allowed the former Soviet Union to be economically exploited by the West, as Bush and Clinton did.

* This is not Reagan's world. No more Warsaw Pact. No more Soviet Union.

* This is not Reagan's America. We're a demographically, culturally, religiously, economically, and militarily weaker America.

Different circumstances call for different responses.

Reaganism was right for the 1980s. Trump's America First is right for the 2020s.

Notice its never the neo cons, globalists or their families that go off to die in these foreign interventions. Also they somehow never seem to suffer the economic consequences that impoverish ordinary Americans.

The Cold War was a fight against communism, not Russia.

“Are you mad, he’s Russian Intelligence”

“Austin, the Cold War is over.”

“Good, finally those Capitalist pigs will pay for their crimes, eh Comrades?”

“Austin, we won!”

“Oh good, smashing, yay Capitalism!”

I shouldn’t have to tell you this, Mike, but the present Republican Party IS the Republican Party of Reagan—excluding the RINOs of course.

Not in the least. They were/are not into wars to make politicians rich.

I wonder what’s next. Maybe the neocons will drudge up a quote from Grover Cleveland.

I personally like this quote (mainly because I said it):

“This is Europe’s problem. Let Europe deal with it.”
