Dominion Energy (NYSE:D) and National Grid (NYSE:NGG) are weighing potential sales of parts of their U.S. natural gas pipeline networks, The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday.

Dominion (D) reportedly is considering selling its gas distribution companies serving North Carolina, Ohio and parts of the western U.S., which could be worth as much as $13B, although the assets are unlikely to be sold all together.

Meanwhile, National Grid (NGG) is said to be exploring a possible sale of part of its pipeline network serving the northeastern U.S., where lawmakers want to curtail the use of fossil fuels, according to the WSJ report.

I did some research and this move appears to be motivated by the enemy propaganda declarations to do away with gas altogether in the USA . . . which is purity bullshit.

WTF is wrong with corporate America?

Are you TRYING to be ruled by a fascist ?

Both your power bill and your natural gas bill are about to spike. Why power bill? Because the Dims forced many power utilities to shut down coal plants.

In some cases they replaced power production with stupid "green" energy. But in states like Alabama they replaced coal fueled power production with natural gas fueled power production. The cost the power company pays for natural gas is added as a rider to your cost per kWh.

Obiden: If you like cheap power for charging your EV you can keep it. End of quote. End of line

it’s gonna be a real shitshow when the NG infrastructure is allowed to disintegrate and is non-functional about the same time as the bluestate power grids fail and there’s no heat, no AC, no transportation, no nothing actually ... a whole lotta folks are gonna die ... i wonder if the ones remaining will STILL vote Democrat? you know, because “fight climate change” ...

Chump change. Jao Beiden will pay that to nationalize it; the price is within the national debt rounding error.

Then he’ll just shut it down. Take that, you energy-hog erf-abusing peasants! No more gas stoves or heaters for you!

Natural gas is plentiful. It’s cheap. It hasn’t been nearly as explored or developed as crude oil. It’s clean.

The leftists’ classifying of carbon-dioxide classified as a polluting so-called “greenhouse gas” was fraudulent and evil. It is this classification that has spawned over-regulation and skyrocketing prices of all petroleum products. It hacks me off.

It's a super expensive way to generate electricity. Lignite is our safest, most abundant and least expensive way to generate electricity.

Watch there will be more and more manufactured “crises” to try and force Texas to connect Ercot to the other interconnects to “save” the texas grid when in reality they just want access to their generation capacity

“states like Alabama they replaced coal fueled power production with natural gas fueled power production.”

These NG fired plants are run during the peak summer months when NG prices are lower.

“Lignite is our safest, most abundant and least expensive way to generate electricity.”

Wrong. For base load nukes and hydro are a lot cheaper than coal.

It is too slow for peakers and natural gas dominates that market.

In 2023 it is very hard to make the economics work for a coal plant in the USA.

All electrical grids need to have some electricity generated from Natural Gas. Gas electrical turbines can instantly increase or decrease the power they produce. All electrical grids must generate only the power that is needed and in real time.

All other sources of power from Nuclear, coal, and oil turn the power turbines with steam and therefore have a time lag to changing the power they produce.

Power from wind and sunlight are not predictable and are a nightmare for the grid controllers as the wind changes and a cloud passes over.

Natural Gas turbine power is used to instantly ensure that the grid quickly provides the exact power that is needed in time.

The only reason it doesn't work is due to EPA regulations. It remains to be the lowest price per kwh available.

Hydro is a very geographically limited solution and no nuke plants have been built, except for one, in decades.

Coal remains the cheapest and most abundant choice for electrical generation.

Wait until they have to buy it back at twice the price solar equipment can’t handle the NY load no matter how much of it they install.
