Ukraine is less corrupt than Russia and Russia is getting worse in the corruption ratings.

Supporting Ukraine is about depriving Russia of the giant first step they need to start becoming an evil empire again, it isn’t about being nice to Ukraine.

This Russian invasion has greatly improved our position against China, NATO is more unified with greater military budgets and weapons resupply and build-up, Japan is in the biggest military build-up since WWII, South Korea buying new weapons, and Australia buying nuke subs from us, the Philippines inviting us back, Taiwan restocking, and adjusting from what they are learning from Ukraine, and Americans have returned troops to Taiwan for the first time in decades.

What has been revealed about Russia has awakened the West and our allies.

Our domestic issues are not affected by Ukraine, the Biden administration is not going to redirect strategic spending to building our wall.

We need a significant percentage of our population to have a better understanding of what’s really going on and unfortunately somewhere around 50% of them have their heads up their rears.

How about we start with you? Learn about Victoria Nuland and when she did in 2014.

Here are the reasons why Russia’s violation its own signatures makes it look like a gangster-nation :

The Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances, signed in 1994, was a political agreement between the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, and Ukraine. The memorandum aimed to provide assurances of security and territorial integrity to Ukraine in exchange for its decision to give up its nuclear weapons inherited from the Soviet Union.

The fundamental wrongness of Russia’s violation of the Budapest Memorandum lies in the breach of trust and the violation of international norms and agreements. Here are several key reasons why Russia’s actions were fundamentally wrong:

* Violation of Sovereignty: By annexing Crimea in 2014, Russia infringed upon Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, which are fundamental principles of international law. The Budapest Memorandum explicitly affirmed respect for these principles and committed the signatories to refrain from the threat or use of force against Ukraine’s territorial integrity.

* Undermining International Agreements: The Budapest Memorandum was a legally non-binding agreement; however, it carried immense political significance. Russia’s violation undermined the credibility of international agreements and created an atmosphere of uncertainty, making it difficult for countries to trust diplomatic assurances in the future.

* Disruption of Non-Proliferation Efforts: The Budapest Memorandum served as a mechanism to encourage non-proliferation efforts. Ukraine voluntarily surrendered its nuclear weapons, the third-largest arsenal in the world at that time, in exchange for security assurances. Russia’s violation sent a discouraging message to other countries considering relinquishing their nuclear weapons, potentially impeding future disarmament efforts.

* Escalation of Tensions: Russia’s actions in Crimea triggered a dangerous escalation of tensions in the region. The annexation led to a prolonged conflict in eastern Ukraine, resulting in thousands of deaths and the displacement of many people. It destabilized the region and strained diplomatic relations between Russia and other nations.

* Breach of Trust: The Budapest Memorandum aimed to build trust and foster cooperation between the signatory nations. Russia’s violation shattered this trust and undermined the foundations of diplomatic relationships. It demonstrated that commitments made by nations could be disregarded, eroding the basis of international diplomacy.
It is important to note that these points represent a general consensus among the international community regarding the wrongness of Russia’s actions. Different perspectives may exist, but the violation of the Budapest Memorandum is widely seen as a breach of international norms and principles.

A Memorandum has no weight, and isn’t a Treaty.
I care not what foreigners think the US should do.

“I care not what foreigners think the US should do.”

>>>>>>>>>>>>

“Foreigners” as you say have nothing to do with what US should do.
However, there is nothing wrong when historically very close allied countries to America are applauding America for respecting what America has signed! Right?

America is RESPECTING the Budapest Memorandum. That is a fact. And I approve that fact, just like the VAST majority of the world’s nations do.

Russia though is VIOLATING its OWN signature which makes it look like a “Gangsta-Paradise”. Who’s can trust such a country?

Russia is beaconing to the world that it is a spectacularly unreliable country to do business with... In turn that is terrible news for the future of Russia’s economy. Kremlin deep-state politicians making Russian people suffer...

America has processes. A Memo is meaningless and not a Treaty for a reason.
“America” didn’t sign anything, that’s why it isn’t a Treaty.

Did you just quote Coolio?…

Russia seems equally trustworthy as the US, with respect to government.
