Sort of interesting to speculate on what the Russians would target first. I am sure it would hurt, a lot, but not represent a thing worth the self-immolation of the entire world.
I agree, BobL. The F-16’s will have a difficult time with the shape of this battlefield. Under USAF doctrine, we would use them once we had complete air superiority or total surprise. Using them anywhere near this active front with lots of anti-air assets will bring “disappointment.”

Russian nuclear threats are so boring.
Indeed, albeit in this case it could well be noise that is not survivable.
This not a poker game between these supreme power holders and throwing more armaments into the to the pot seems very unwise.
Signalman got it right upthread in #6. For comparison, it would have been an efficient, strong nation that could have spearheaded a move that eliminated Hitler before he started WWII.
“Using them anywhere near this active front with lots of anti-air assets will bring “disappointment.””
Thanks, I try to read between the lines, since it’s very rare for the West to be truthful, and when the West is truthful, it’s almost always by mistake.
“At some point the Russian nuclear arsenal of over 7,000 warheads must be taken seriously.”
There is no indication that Russia spends enough money to maintain the 7,000 to 12,000 nukes they claim to have. They also haven’t replaced their Mayak facility that performs that maintainence.
Mayak blew up in 2017 and due to sanctions it never restarted.
It’s LOL, because it is Russian BS
Actually it’s a deescalation, since the threat is coming from Lavrov not Putin. But you are right, it’s just more Kremlin noise.
Most Americans have overlooked the most import finding that came out of the Cuban Missile Crisis. Russian battery commanders are free to use nuclear weapons if they have them, right down to their equivalent of Second Lieutenants. Our military must get Presidential authorization before using nuclear ordinance. Get it?
BY the same token, the Russians are already using the MIG-31K to launch Kinzhal missiles against Ukraine. Kinzhals come in both conventional and nuclear flavors. Same threat to Ukraine as the Russians are complaining about here. So I think you are correct - the Russians are, as usual, escalating their threats, and after a while, it’s just noise.
If the Russians landed an Army on US soil I’d welcome them as liberators.
+1
Freedom for the subjects of the Globohomo Empire starts with military defeat and Regime collapse.
Entire East Coast of the US , DC, NYC, airbases and ports, from Maine to Florida , would not be much left.
They’d hit stuff overseas too, but you can bet they’d make the US mainland pay
Our missile silos would be targeted, the Mid West would be a mess
West Coast ports and bases.
Hawaii , any overseas base, Japan, Korea, Guam
They’d get as many as possible as would we.
Desth for everybody !?! ☠️☠️☠️
Who knows who else would want in ? China ? Pakistan? India ? and the rest… lol 😂
81 million votes for PedoJoe that’s what you get, somebody, probably Obongo/Jarret (Lizard Headed Alien) behind the scenes, provoking nuclear war .
WooHoo ! Yay Team ! F Yeah !
And that got us what exactly? 40 million illegals in country? In debt 33 trillion for the 10 generations? Our standard of living and economy in decline? Everything we touch made in Red China?
“It’s LOL, because it is Russian BS”
But...
what if it’s not?
Maskirovka again. This is manipulation.
The Ukrainian pilots will last about ten minutes in the air.
How much training are they to receive?
Which variation of F-16 are they to receive?
How competent will they be after this training?
It will only get the pilots killed.
