This is a truly scary article because much of what Putin is doing Biden is also doing. Just read it.

Biden is learning from the master of crushing dissent, Putin who learned from Stalin.

Stalin is quoted as saying, "Death solves all problems, no man, no problem."

I am far, far more concerned about the rabid totalitarian regime at home here in America than any regime overseas.

Can you imagine trying to lock up your political opponents? Only under Russian rule. Can you imagine locking hundreds up in a DC gulag for the crime of raising their voices? Thank goodness, our police state has the most effective propaganda machine the world has ever seen. Most US dullards are smiling all along the road to totalitarian repression.

Killing one man in prison did not decrease political dissent. It was like pushing a beachball under the water. It’s not on top the water where it’s visible, but the force required to keep it submerged will get increasingly difficult to bear. Dissent went from being visible to fleeing the country, to sabotaging the regime where no one can see it. Things as varied as letting the air out of tires on military vehicles to making weapons that fail. It went from one big, noticeable thing to thousands of unnoticeable things that may, over time, add up to regime collapse. This is a game the Russian people have played since about 1905.

Many of those who have opposed him have ended up in prison, or dead.

Yep, that Putin guy is a bastion of morality, the pinnacle of Christianity.

He rails against “the West” and her descent into whatever, while this sombich divorces his wife and shacks up with a girl young enough be his daughter, passes red meat legislation but fails to ban abortion, and kills enemies like a Clinton.

Putin has the Cross in his hand and the devil in his heart. Anyone who looks up to this POS isn’t a conservative.

The death of Gonzalo Lira marked the end of political dissent in Ukraine, but the MSM doesn’t care.

In fact I had to get outside the big search engines to recall his name and not get flooded with articles about Brent Renaud.

Yes Putin probably eliminated an opponent. Yes it’s a dictatorial thing to do.
Yet he seems to be treating the vast majority of Russians leniently and has their best interest in mid.

While Biden is flooding us with millions of illegals who will kill or rob 1000s of us , take jobs from 100s of thousands and use up billions of dollars in services. Then there are 100s of people from Jan 6 that did no more than trespass and protest who have been in jail for many months.

So which one is the greater evil?

Putin or Biden?

“Alexei Navalny’s Death Marks End of Political Dissent in Russia”

Just like Jan 6th.

Anyway, as far as Russia is concerned, the Neocons had a good thing going - they were ‘socializing’ younger Russians with the allure of the West, much as they did during the Soviet times, and they were making progress.

But then the Neocons, led by Victoria Nuland, went for the BIG GRAB, that being Ukraine, and as far as the vast majority of Russians were concerned, they might as well had gone after Moscow. The relatively small number of remaining ‘reformers’ had about as much credibility as the American Nazi Party after Pearl Harbor, and many simply left for Europe (to be treated like crap there, since they are still Ruzzians, but that’s another story).

Navalny himself was an NPC by the time he died.

Since ... Democrats ... have introduced laws to punish critics of its fill-in-the-blank campaign, muzzled independent media, branded pro-freedom authors and artists as “foreign agents” and denied Americans the ability to publicly express opinions. Authorities have unleashed a wave of repression to ensure compliance. Many ordinary citizens have been swept up in a crackdown and handed fines and lengthy jail times for what authorities view as discrediting the election process or spreading misinformation about Biden's campaigns. A 78-year-old man who questioned Democrats conduct in the elections in serval states was fine hundreds of millions of dollars recently with several Kangaroo Court criminal proceedings to follow.

With very little change to the wording, it fits 2024 America.

The main difference is Russian culture accepts and could be argued necessitates a strongman

We do not and never have except Lincoln at war it could be argued to a point though he did actually stand for election in 64

It’s being imposed here and half the population ignored

Putin is polled for popularity by western polling non stop and it remains very high in the 80s

Biden and his mgt have record low numbers but continue to impose their will over a populace from which they likely stole an election

The opposition here is under whithering attack by the state

Honestly who’s in more trouble ?

And, what did Epstein’s murder mean? That pedos will be protected even if they are elites?

I recognize that Russian operatives might have murdered this guy — for whatever reasons. But, if we are to entertain theories, how about pedos? Which people screaming about this guy’s murder profited by Epstein’s murder?

Navalny is a nobody in Russia. I would bet 8 of 10 Russians would ask “who?” if you told them he died.

He is another gas-lighting, manufactured propaganda figure of the West. Much like Zelensky.

Who are the real “opposition” in Russia? the former Communist Party. They have been around forever and have the largest minority seats in parliament. Sorry, folks.

Until Western elite, gaslight fantasies about Russia are gone, we will stumble from deadly and expensive policy mistake to mistake.
