One of the ironies about Canada, liberal as it is, it’s more decentralized so Provincial governments can actually stop this stuff.
When you are videotaped secretly talking with a foreign intelligence agency about 10-20M USD for a color revolution to overthrow Putin in Russia.... You deserve to die in jail as a traitor to the state.
Because the Western Intelligence Agencies own the MSM, we have all the channels falling over themselves to promote the death of the so called “adversary” to Putin. Without the Intelligence angle, the MSM could care less but they are all propoganda outlets at this point for the regime of DNC - Democratic National Communism or Socialist Party.

My point being that he had some Russian following prior to the start of the war...but lost all of it by choosing the wrong side when the war began - no different than the American Nazi Party losing their support after Pearl Harbor.
Thus, due to the war, Navalny, despite being a political player prior to the war, made himself into an NPC due to his picking the wrong side. So, by the time he died, his support in Russia was nil, and his only value was to the Neocons to try to deflect off of Gonzalo Lira and the Jan 6th lockups.
Is this any different than what our politicians have done and are doing?

In Canada, dear leader says we should all unite against Putin to celebrate the legacy of Navalny.
I don’t need his suggestion to oppose Putin’s thuggery but it sounded tone deaf because dear leader has his own closet full of skeletons, not totally limited to the freedom convoy and how they were treated. It goes back quite a long way in Canada, opponents of the Liberal Party have been routinely blacklisted and ostracized from the public service and academia, it began for me in 1980 when I took a public stand in favor of Solidarity (at the time the Liberal government and the public service were full of pro-Brezhnev communists), and on occasion Canadian dissidents are subjected to lawfare also. So he’s in no position to take the moral high ground on this or any other issue.
I don’t know if I lived in Russia who I would support, possibly it would have been Navalny but possibly not, I don’t follow Russian politics so closely that I could name every alternative but there are the orthodox not-pretending communists and the ultra-nationalists. Probably our kind of politics are almost unrepresented in their spectrum. Small government and civil liberties just doesn’t sound very Russian somehow.
