So his fate was of no interest to those whose only agenda is hatred against Russia.

I think it’s more likely that some of the inmates who supported the Ukraine War got fed up with him - kind of like being an American Japanese leader in jail the day after Pearl Harbor is bombed (not the most popular person in the wing).
But your theory holds water because of several factors:
1) Absolutely PERFECT timing
a) Gets the Neocon disaster of Avdiivka out of the news
b) Happens when everyone is in Munich for the NATO meeting
c) That NATO meeting includes Zelensky and Navalny’s wife.
2) ENTIRE Media immediately blames Putin...as if it were scripted
3) Navalny was a political has-been in Russia, completely discredited by the statements of Western leaders.
4) Navalny was no longer of use to the Neocons, as he wasn’t leaving jail for a long time.
5) No benefit to Putin making a martyr out of him, he was safely locked away
Probably other reasons, but it’s getting late...

Most probably so. Years ago I attended a talk given by G. Gordon Liddy (of all people). One of the things Liddy mentioned was how often nations kill their politicians opponents. It was not uncommon, Liddy said.

The response to things like this, where the guy was just trying to leave Ukraine, and got sick in prison and died. US Diplomats have huge leverage in Ukraine.

The Zeepers actually gloated over his death.
That’s why there is no “outrage” over Putin’s brutality in the Navalny case. People saw what happened to Epstein. (he wasn’t lovely either, but shouldn’t have been murdered in prison). People see what is happening to J6.
People see that the Zeepers don’t care when people un-necessarily die in jail.
In fact, when pro Russia civilians die, Zeepers jeer and celebrate.
