If Putin wanted him dead rather than merely under lock and key he could just have ginned up a kangaroo court to have some level of proceedings before an execution. This would have largely muted any diplomatic outrage with the plausible deniability that a courtroom conviction would bring.

So logic tells me that he was more likely killed by CIA/MI6 assets, as part of the desperate effort to pass a funding bill to stop the horrible Russian orcish hordes. /s Ditto the hype about a Russian space superweapon. It's just propaganda timed for political effect. When you look at the timing and who benefits it's hard to avoid this being at least a strong suspicion.

as well as suggesting the speed at which authorities made comments on the incident was deeply suspicious.

The speed at which the West hustled his widow's little fanny over to the Munich Security Conference to swap spit with Pelosi and Kamala and to bash The Putin is also deeply suspicious.

“So logic tells me that he was more likely killed by CIA/MI6 assets....”

Something is telling you that for sure, but it isn’t logic.
