That’s true. It’s not likely to happen. But they do have the power to abolish inferior courts, so in theory, they could scrap the current appellate and circuit courts and start all over, though such a sweeping overhaul has never been done before. Here’s an interesting article I found on the subject:

“I’ll get in trouble if I comment.”

It’s probably for the best that you’re not saying this douche who insists on knowingly imposing unconstitutional terms on someone should be put up in front of a wall and subjected to the full fury of a 30mm Gatling gun.

Nope, that wouldn’t be good at all and I admire your restraint in such a matter.

Do you really expect the Supreme Court to take on all the day to day cases that happen in a federal District Court?

The Supreme Court only reviews about 100 cases each year.

The federal courts handle nearly 1 million cases each year at the District and Circuit levels.

No, I don’t expect the Supreme Court to handle it all by themselves. I’m suggesting that inferior courts be abolished AND REPLACED with new courts and new judges. That’s not something that can be done all at once of course, and it might not even be necessary to do so for all the lower courts, aside from the worst offenders, but it’s something that should be given serious consideration.
