We are? I must have missed the news about Congress declaring war.

You swerved into the fact that it is an illegal war.

If we are not at war, what is the 90-billion dollars Congress is sending to Ukraine for?

The war would never have happened without the umpteen billions of dollars from the US feral government.

I’m hardly Noam Chomsky, but I’m also not stuck in the 80’s with Russia being a perpetual, unless we murder every single one of them, as some Freepers seem to advocate.

I’m big on talking things and getting to the heart of the issue. Prior to the war, Zelenskyy was in the process of culturally genociding Russians in his border. If you have a problem with Putin having a problem with this, then you don’t have a problem with Zelensky murdering about 8 million Russians.

Maybe Michael Moore was actually right on something.

It does seem strange that the US arms both sides all the time - as if continuing war is all we care about.

And the CIA is probably the cause of more war deaths than anything else on the planet. I’m sick of it.

You are wrong, confused and are missing the obvious. Had that document not been scrapped it would have dragged the US into war. Into an armed conflict against Russia.

Oh sure it would.

In your little-bitty mind.

Where do come up with such ideas? Putin's track record in attacking other countries, other than defending his own security in Ukraine, is nill.

Try another crazy idea.

Just because Donbas has ethnic Russians doesn’t mean squat. South Texas is full of ethnic Mexican-Americans. Should we cede the border counties to Mexico? Same with Crimea.

Take away the argument about the USA funding all of this, but I’m so sick of the pro-Putinista’s that hijack these threads. It almost makes me think of Russian troll farms.

See https://www.foreignaffairs.com/ukraine/talks-could-have-ended-war-ukraine to learn why there was no agreement and why is was not US/UK pressure that killed it. The idea that there was an agreement that was only prevented by US/UK pressure is pure myth and Russian propaganda.

So, you’d be fine with Zelenskyy murdering 8 million Russian ethnics, without Putin having a response.

When white Americans falls to a minority, I trust that you won’t have a problem with America genociding white people. American’s business and all that.

That's basically admitting Ukraine to NATO.

No, when the other provision provides a guarantee Ukraine would be militarily neutral.

Except Michael Moore, like just about every other Hollywood leftist, is totally behind the proxy war in Ukraine.

So, one Zeeper thinks the agreement essentially granted Ukraine NATO membership and other (you) thinks it provided Ukraine with no protection.

You Zeepers, in addition to having serious reading comprehension issues, can't your stories straight.

The point is Ukraine would have signed with if we and Boris Johnson had killed this deal and 500,000 more Ukrainians would still be alive and Ukraine would have far more territory than it has now.

The latest heart of the issue?

NATO encroachment while the US is de facto defender of the free world regardless of treaty is the dog that won’t hunt.

The heart of the matter is in 2014 he invaded Crimea off oil spiking in 2013. In 2022, he invaded off oil doubling in 2021.

This is the most contrived war ever on earth with our tax dollars facing off against our energy policy.

The rest is substantively lacking in a millions ways obv including moral clarity. He was genociding Russians while Putin was financially backing US anti fracking protests.

If one doesn’t have a problem with WEF.Soros green energy charade-one has no problem with Putin helping the cause and paying for his war with it.

You're not any good at reading are you? Let me repeat this point I made that was directly made from the article. In Large Font.

- guarantor countries (🇨🇳🇺🇸🇫🇷🇬🇧🇹🇷) obliged to intervene within 3 days if Russia invades

Do you know what this means? It means what I said earlier. This document would provoked Russia to invade and the US and other countries would be what? That's right. Obliged to intervene.

Putin has no track record of attacking other countries.

He has track record of not tolerating color revolutions we foment in neighboring countries.

We and NATO have constantly been the aggressors. We promised no eastward expansion of NATO and expanded right to Russia's borders.

We fomented an illegal coup in Ukraine and installed a puppet government hostile to Moscow and the ethnic Russian population in Ukraine, setting off a civil war.

And, we're meddling now in Georgia's internal affairs by trying to prevent the current government from passing a foreign agents registration act.

When he invaded in 2014 he was protecting his own security?

Russia is less secure at the moment than in 2014-two security invasions later.

In 2020 we were paying Russia $44,000,000/day for oil.
In 2021 we were paying Russia $88,000,000/day for the same oil.

Russia GDP is nearly 50% higher in 2023 vs 2020.

How many billions were sent to Ukraine? add a few digits to find how much wealthier Russia is thanks to US energy policy.

Just because Donbas has ethnic Russians doesn’t mean squat.

Of course, it means squat when those ethnic Russians were being persecuted by a Ukrainian nationalist government that came to power through an illegal coup and drove out a President that most in Donetsk and Lugansk voted for.

And, yes, if we had an illegal coup and President that the majority voted for was driven out of office, TEXAS WOULD HAV THE RIGHT TO SECEDE FROM THE UNION.

Sounds like you've been hit the head a few too many times by Lucille.

For some people, the 1970’s Soviet Union is forever.

I do not believe that Putin has expansionist intentions. I think the idea of him expanding Russia is a misreading on what he wants.

Russkies and the Ukies. Two scorpions in a bottle.

Said so from the beginning. Not our fight. Not worth our blood or treasure.

Let the Euros deal with it. It’s their back yard.
