I have never bought anything from Temu or Aliexpress and do not ever plan on doing so.

However, my internet browser thinks that Temu is one of my favorite sites. This is probably because I see so many Temu ads with weird things. I just have to click on the ad to find out what the things are.

Same here. The products being pitched are all slightly disturbing, visually. It’s intentional, and designed to be psychologically unsettling.

MUST resist that impulse!

Have you figured out why you must put a toilet paper tube under your toilet seat? Or why you should wrap your doorknobs in tinfoil? Or put spoons over your eyes?

I’d really like to know.

This is the same browser you use to read “thousands of research papers”? And yet all that research hasn’t led you to an ad-blocking browser or add-on?
