Oh I can believe this. I just talked to someone who told me I can’t call migrants illegals anymore. I am supposed to call them newcomers.
I said they illegally entered our country. They aren’t legal immigrants.
She said she was confused about the difference between immigrants and migrants.

Had a similar argument with the former SIL. Said she thought we should have more (illegal) immigrants.
I said, fine....but I get to pick them and they are going to be sent to your house.
And for that matter, if you're so into allowing illegals in would you be willing to turn off your alarm system and leave the windows and doors open/unlocked with a sign in the front yard...all welcome.
She shut up pretty quick.
I've learned in these discussions with liberal bleeding hearts you have to make it personal for them. Get them to commit to what they want society to do.
