The Eurovision Song Contest has seen a chaotic build-up towards Saturday's grand final.
The Dutch entry has been disqualified, another has withdrawn from rehearsals and a third has broken rules with an on-stage speech, calling for peace.
And two former contestants have pulled out of announcing the jury scores for their countries.
The drama is unfolding minute by minute against a backdrop of protests over Israel's participation in the show.
Thousands of pro-Palestinian marchers have gathered in Malmö, Sweden, where the contest is being held on Saturday.
Some chanted "Eurovision, united by genocide," reflecting the strength of feeling over the humanitarian toll of Israel's military campaign in Gaza, which was triggered by the deadly Hamas attacks last October.
Eurovision, which has always billed itself as non-political, has resisted calls for Israel to be excluded from the contest.
However, they did demand that the country's performer, Eden Golan, change the lyrics of her entry, titled Hurricane, to remove references to the 7 October attack.
Golan, who is just 20 years old, is under armed guard as she prepares to sing at the contest, with heightened security throughout the host city.
Several other competitors have stressed their opposition to the Israel-Gaza war, although none have pulled out - choosing to abide by Eurovision's slogan, "united by music".

WOW! If you saw the YouTube overview of this year’s entrants, very satanic! Most entrants focus on sexual imagery, and even a few with blatant satanic imagery. Not surprising Europe is losing the battle for cultural relevance.

So far there are pitifully few limits such as a compromise to remove tents by a certain date in a few days. That is, after seeing about cutting Israel off from investments to starve it out financially.

There have been a number of Israeli winners over the years. They’ve had some incidents, but people are less civilized every year, especially Jew-haters.

I think Europe is done for. They let in a million muslims over time and now they have enough numbers and poltical cover that they are starting to inject open threats of violence into the public square and are getting away with it. It can't end well.
As to worrying about "Europe burning" if she wins, can there be any doubt that the potential arsonists desire that outcome eventually regardless?! They just aren't quite ready to light the torch, foreseeing their chances of ending in charge improving if they wait longer. Although in several countries, their once moribund potential opposition is now at least conscious and growing, even though the center remains scared into appeasement. Premature ignition might just shock some of the current appeasers from awoke into awake.
Recall how things break in the real world when her song's title becomes reality. Hurricanes strike; right thinking, independent, problem solving Americans jump into action and deal with all the resultant problems. Left thinking, liberal problem causing, sheep mull around bleating to be rescued. And drown rather than save themselves if the rescuers don't arrive in time. Yes, the numbers in parts of Europe are daunting, but doubt not which side will underachieve and which will overachieve.
Concentrated populations of lefties can do much damage but can they survive without the support of rest? And are they competent enough to organize and force their will on the rest? Or are they just powerful enough to keep making the resultant mess bigger until they die from their own waste products? The world has seen Europe recover from huge messes twice, in just over the past century and more times in recorded history. I rather it didn't, but it could happen again. But better outcomes are still possible.

The song is in English but the last few lines are in Hebrew. That ought to get their goat nicely.
I've only seen parts of the vote results, but it appears Israel, who was 5th overall got 323 votes from the public. Croatia, overall #2, got 337 from public of its 547. Swiss winner got 591, but only 226 from public. Ukraine was 3rd, France 4th, Israel 5th and Ireland 6th overall apparently although I don't know the vote totals for latter two. To finish 5th Israel got, at most, and probably less than, 121 jury votes.
Ah, now have votals for all entrants. Israel won 52 jury votes, barely more than the 46 granted to UK. UK, which won zero public votes. Israel, as the public vote was counted, came in 2nd. And for those liberals who want to overturn the electoral college I wouldn’t be surprised if it turned out Israel had won the raw popular vote.
That crazy Greta Thunberg was arrested among the protesters there lolz
