Representative Jared Moskowitz (D-FL) said Wednesday on Fox News Channel’s “American Reports” that President Joe Biden has been “has been an absolute champion of Jewish people.”
Host Sandra Smith asked, “Congressman, as far as the politics involved, that may or may not be involved — now, I’ve sent out a tweet to that effect — if all of this is indeed the case, what do you believe is the political impact on the president’s reelection campaign as this war continues?”
Moskowitz said, “Well, look, Joe Biden has been an absolute champion of Jewish people, not just as president, not just as vice president, but in the Senate. He’s fought anti-Semitism his whole life. You’re talking about someone who established the first ambassador on anti-Semitism. You’re talking about someone who established the anti-Semitism coalition to get a definition, by the way also, I’ll give, you know, credit to President Trump establishing the Abraham Accords. That was a big deal for the state of Israel.”

Most assuredly. I'm reading a book titled "The Avengers: A Jewish War Story" by Richard Cohen. He was related through his grandmother to a female Jewish resistance fighter who had joined .the group "The Fareynikte Partizaner Organizatsye." The book is about her time in the Vilnius Ghetto, the area of which is now in Lithuania, and as a Resistance Fighter.
In Vilnius, the head of the Vilnius Jewish Ghetto Police was Jacob Gens. He believed that in order to survive, you had to be essential to the Nazis and accommodate them, so he took it upon himself to accommodate them as often as possible. The Nazis came one day for a guy named Wittenberg, whose name had been given by a prisoner as being involved in the resistance. Wittenberg was a Jew and a Communist. In Gens's mind, he saw Wittenberg as a Communist first, and by turning him over to the Nazis, he'd be ridding the ghetto of a Commie, not a Jew. Gens called Wittenberg to his office on the premise that there was a meeting. He had set Wittenberg up to be apprehended by the Nazis. As they were taking Wittenberg to a waiting car, they were attacked by several of the resistance fighters, and got Wittenberg away. After being successfully hidden within the ghetto for a few days, Wittenberg, afraid that the Nazis would commit revenge on innocent people, decided to turn himself in, and of course he was never seen again.
The next thing the Nazis needed from Gens was several thousand ghetto residents to be sent to "work camps" in Estonia. Gens would say: "A jew with a job, is a Jew with a future." The Nazis became even more demanding with the number of Jews they wanted, and Gens was having problems rounding people up, so he appointed 200 more auxiliary Jewish police officers to search out and find the numbers he needed. By this time there were about only 10,000 people left in the ghetto, where a year before there had been 80,000.
When he ended up being 200 short of the required number, he told the new police officers to meet him at the gate, that they would meet the person who would lead them to the additional Jews needed. Unbeknownst to them, they were surrounded by German soldiers, and became the 200 additional bodies being shipped to the "work camps" in Estonia. To make sure none of them escaped, Gens called on the Jewish gangsters and brutes from the ghetto to assist the soldiers in their job. Gens truly believed that he was saving Jewish lives, and refused to listen to those resistance fighters still in the ghetto, that all those people he was sending off, were going to their deaths.
In September 1943, it was announced that the ghetto was to be liquidated. Jacob Gens was arrested on September 13, 1943 by the Gestapo, and told it was because he knew there were partisans in the ghetto, but failed to turn them in. He was shot on September 13, 1943. The resistance fighters that were able to escape from the ghetto headed into the forest. Several of those that survived ended up in Israel after the war. One of them was the relative of the author of the book.
