Gavin Newsom's Battleground Gift to Donald Trump Gavin Newsom's Battleground Gift to Donald Trump

Is Gavin Newsom trying to help Donald Trump? You have to wonder from the California governor’s plan to raise gasoline prices in Nevada and Arizona before the November election.

California’s prices are the highest in the country—$5.21 a gallon on average vs. $3.59 nationwide—owing to hefty taxes and burdensome regulations, such as its cap-and-trade program and low-carbon fuel standard.

Mr. Newsom is escalating his war on the industry. The California Energy Commission is planning to impose a tax on refineries’ “gross margins”—i.e., the difference between wholesale gasoline and crude prices plus certain regulatory costs. The gross margin notably doesn’t include refiners’ operating costs, which include employee pay.

Arizona and Nevada are increasingly trending in Mr. Trump’s direction as working-class Hispanics bear the brunt of the Biden administration’s policies. Many migrated from California—and like America’s émigrés from socialist countries, they don’t want to relive the misery from their former lands.

Was in Los Angeles last week, prices were about $5.59 to a little over $6.20 at ones like Mobil and Union 76 and about $4.75 at the cheap places. You wonder if California might be that bit more competitive as well (not factoring in the fraud) this year?

Nope. They already figured out Biden only needs to cheat in 32 counties across the United States. All they have to do is buy the election officials like they did last time.

It’s worse than many people know. To Achieve CAFE compliance many cars have 4 cylinder turbo charged motors and many of those require premium to stay clean. So add $1 to $1.50 to each gallon

The democrats are evil and insane, but millions and millions of illegals mean they can screw everybody and keep getting elected.

Think about the horrible damage to California and its people, and the democrats know they aren’t doing a damn thing for the planet.

It’s just a corrupt money laundering scheme all around.

Plus keeping people poor for the drug cartels.

Gov. Nuisance seems to be positioning himself for 2028.

Given his handling of the economy, crime, illegal immigration and corruption, the ads of his opponents will write themselves.
