One day in the not to distant future, Hispanics will dominate and be in charge of the south-western US. Hispanics will hold most or all governorships and certainly majorities in all the s/w state-houses. The question is whether or not they will be republican or democrat (or PRI, or independent....).

atino's are a natural fit for the Republican party, they are cultuarlly conservative, but all you do is push them away with your xenophobic rantings and the demo's exploit that.

Latino legal immigrants are, but not Latino illegal immigrants. They are criminals and criminals are no "culturally conservative".

You really think there's a snowballs chance in hell of Aztlan coming to pass?

I'll tell you who will fight that harder than any Republican. DEMOCRATS.

Think they want to lose all those electoral votes that Pete Wilson's anti-mexican policies got them? Think they will let all those Senate seats and House seats, which are a given, fly away to some internet fantasy?

I'm glad to see that so many people on FR are making light of this. It isn't a joke. It is happening.

Yeah, but a least they are "culturally conservative", so it's O.K. They are also "strong catholics" and "hard working", so let's just sign 'em as Republicans now. They don't have to speak English. We'll learn Spanish for their convenience. /sarcasm

Dane, read my post qouting the founding fathers views on immagration. This is not about people coming to the country to better themselves; this is about people coming to the country to change our way of life. Those of us who support these illegals should be charged with treason.

"The young Democrats were in the livestock barns."

That's exactly where the ones I've seen belonged. You can keep them in the same pens with the members of "NOW".

LOL.

You are certainly correct about that. All politics is personal. People don't vote for the candidate according to political conviction so much as they do based on the candidates perceived view of the voters. If Republicans continue to give the impression of wanting "minorities" to just go away, the "minorities" will vote for Democrats just to punish the GOP. It may take years for the GOP to overcome the actions of Wilson and Buchannan. It has taken years for the Democrats to overcome the actions of Wallace and Maddox.

Am I the only one who senses such danger?

Nope, I do, too. And the one I'm worried about the most is Ron Kirk. He has a strong political machine and the Democrats consider him the "right kind" of African American -- suave, well-spoken, and devoted to big spending and state control.

Translation for all gringo holdouts: All of you that live in CA, AZ, TX & NM must quickly learn cristiano (Spanish). Your states will convert to become the Republic of Aztlan before the year 2005. Those living in NV, UT and CO will become part of Aztlan by 2010. It's a type of secession from Gringolandia.

Felicidades!

P.S. I'm not sure I'm wrong on this prediction. Help me out here!

Dane that's faulty logic.

Neither one of those two referendums would have even needed to be held, if we had sent all the illegals home decades ago.

Of course you're going to have Hispanics running for office as Republicans. The rosters in the Democratic Party are filled. The Hispanic Republicans elected will be RINO's just like President Bush.

Tell me, is Bonilla for fencing and militarizing the borders and deporting all of the illegal aliens? Who needs more RINO's like that? The hard-working taxpayers of the U.S.?

How could so many Republicans be so wrong about the effects of mass Latino immigration on the future of the Republican Party? And be so pro-illegal alien amnesty?

Because their minds have been so infected with politically correct filth they believe that to do otherwise would make them "racists."

First of all an editorial is not "breaking news", but that doesn't matter as you try to whip up hysteria.

Not whipping up hysteria, just presenting valid ideas. Perhaps you should use less character assasination.

Latino's are a natural fit for the Republican party, they are cultuarlly conservative, but all you do is push them away with your xenophobic rantings and the demo's exploit that.

If Latinos are such a "natural fit" for the Repubs where's the proof? Why did all election districts with Latin majorities go for Gore? Why do these districts send Dems to Congress. There are plenty of Latinos in the U.S. now and they are not primarily Republicans. The actions of some Latino Americans alienate (sorry about the pun) many Americans.

Now I have to go to church. Later.

If you actually believe this, you need professional help.

Blacks are culturally conservative, much more than whites, yet they vote 98% Dem. Jews, by class interests alone, should be align with Repubs, yet they will vote 90% dems. Its complex and something of a mystery, but you are wishful thinking if you think Latios will turn Repub.

Generally a person who does not make alot of money and has a wage earning orientation rather than a small business orientation will vote Dem (the party of more benefits) every time.

I couldn't have said it any better Dane. I guess you can't expect much from a guy with the screen name "Love America or move to ......"

"...but that doesn't matter as you try to whip up hysteria. "

People who talk about the immigrant problem, and there is one, are not being hysterical. They are talking about an important issue in our America. You are the one who is displaying touches of hysteria. I have seen you post on the problems of drugs. You are right in doing so. But, we have other problems in America besides drugs.
