Russian Orthodox Church opposes adoption of children from Russia by citizens of countries that support LGBT. Metropolitan Leonid of Klin, the Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, believes more work should be done on a bill banning adoptions of children from Russia by citizens of unfriendly countries.
"This morning I looked through the list of friendly countries again. And if the political attitude of some of them suits us, their attitude toward marriage (which is a union of a man and a woman), their governments’ approval of gay parades and support for aggressive LGBT communities, etc., make it absolutely impossible to raise an adopted child in a healthy and wholesome atmosphere," the metropolitan wrote on his Telegram channel last Friday.
He rejected an argument that even in such countries there are "normal people who cannot have children and would make good parents."
"Yes! There are good people, but they don't make a difference, no difference at all! In the world today, the concept of "law" becomes increasingly relative. Therefore, we can only give a person for adoption to another country, if that country shares same spiritual and moral values as Russia," the metropolitan stressed.
Here’s an obvious question: why are there so many abandoned and orphaned children in Russia that foreign adoptions are needed?

Yup. Russian’s are pretty much drinking themselves to death.
There are no huge numbers of American children having to be adopted by foreigners. Russia has practically made it an industry to adopt out their children to foreigners and in particular to Americans.
Because government regulations make it difficult for many Americans to adapt American children, especially if they are a different race or ethnicity. Many members from my church have adapted Children from Africa and China because of this.

As if their would be many children who would be attempted to be adopted to ANY country other than the UnitedStates.
