The video, supposedly the endtime (the Olivet Discourse) by Jesus Christ, actually that of Tim LaHaye and the pre-trib dispensationalists, featured in the video. Gets “left behind” by Bereans, who have “searched the scriptures whether these things be so,” Acts 17:11.
There is no such thing as two second comings. The rapture is part of the second coming. The theory of the first “second coming,” a secret sparate event from the singular undivided second coming, is read into the text of the Olivet Discourse.
Okay. I still enjoyed the video, Perhaps because I didn’t see them being offered as 2 separate comings of Jesus. The mind is like that sometimes. It allows you to hear what you expect. Or perhaps I should state it as, my mind does that to me at times. Perhaps it happens to others as well.🙂👍
I began watching the video, but when I saw Tim LaHaye, famous for his “Left Behind” series, telling us how we should interpret the Olivet Discourse, I shut it down.
Maybe you are right, maybe the video didn’t feature two second comings, as you are telling me. But, I didn’t hang around to find out. As everybody knows, the pretrib rapture is what Tim LaHaye is famous for. His rapture a second coming of Jesus some seven years before the singular undivided second coming in verses 29-31 of Matthew.
I've actually never heard of him. Was he in this video? See I never look at names per say, unless their reputation precedes them in a very prominent way. I'm getting older, and useless information doesn't even register because keeping the relevant information is a task now.
Someday perhaps you will understand what I am saying, though we all age differently, and you may end up being one of the lucky ones that can still absorb, retain, & recall for as long as you live. For your sake, I hope that is the case. But I'm not that lucky. 🙂👍
