On my way to Thailand in 1972, we flew from Travis to Hickam in an Oklahoma Air Guard 124. I swear we never got over 1000 feet off the ocean...that thing was straining and vibrating for every foot of altitude it could gain.
We were unfortunate to be on the bottom deck and there obviously weren't enough airsick bags for the pax on upper deck.
