That would be a great meme. Personally, if there's ever a report of an "active shooter" event at work I am NOT going to shelter in place. I am going to stay mobile, with an improvised weapon. My reasoning is this. Where I work is very secure. The only way an active shooter could get in to where I am at is if it is someone who works there. If they work there, they've had the same run/hide/fight training I've had. The last thing I want to do is be predictable. They would know where to look for people fleeing/hiding. They wouldn't expect someone to be hunting them. Besides, if it goes sideways, I've had a good life, seen/done just about everything I want/need to. Lots of junior engineers there with their whole lives in front of them. If I can protect them, I'm good with that.
