The problem with Socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money to spend…and then you must have your accounts cleaned up with a machete… and International agencies must save your country from bankruptcy with a bailout of €78 billion ($84 billion) …and the you must enact austerity measures (cut government spending) that ruins the lives of many people who lose their homes and jobs…
“In 2023, for the first time, public debt fell below 100% of GDP (it stood at 98.7%)”
And in the US it’s now 115%!
