Sacramento State police are warning students of an on-campus sexual battery.
A release from the university's police department said the assault happened around 9:20 p.m. on May 8. A person squeezed another person's buttocks while they were walking down the Hornet Tunnel.
The police department said that the person believed to be responsible for the battery has since been seen loitering in the tunnel since then.
The person is described as a male who is 5 feet, 9 inches tall, wearing a dark baseball hat and a black hoodie that says, "I am Black History" in the front. He also had light-colored pants and tennis shoes.
Details were not released on if the two knew each other

I’m amazed how terrible the footage from security cameras seems to be. Guess it’s someone’s kickback cousin who gets these gigs.

Camera tech has come a long way in the last 15 years. Crappy old existing systems don’t tend to get replaced until they’re totally broken.
I’m deploying a few cameras right now and am sort of up to speed on the space. We’ve gone from low res SD to HD to 2k to 4k and beyond, with all kinds of smarts in the camera now that didn’t use to be there.
And for a case like this, built in IR matters a lot for nighttime images.
Footage from security cameras seems to be excellent when “they” want it to be.
As in facial recognition of distant individuals in a crowd of thousands.
Not so good when the crime and perp don’t fit the narrative.
As when the rape perp is a protected class.
It is called the “Equity Camera Filter.” It’s primary functions are to blur and lighten the skin tones of the 13%.
The right answer is a few men on campus get together and clarify to the perp that this shizzzit isn’t allowed. Clarify it with some bruises.
