A Russian victory is an Iranian victory. Moscow and Tehran have formed a military bloc with the aim of defeating the United States and its allies in the Middle East, Europe, and around the world. Russian and Iranian military forces have been fighting alongside one another in Syria for nearly a decade.

Russia needed a good conduit, and Iran works, for now.
And of course there is weaning Europe off of cheap gas so we can sell them expensive gas, sort of the petrol equivalent of the broken glass fallacy.
So I am wide eyed about Russia's intentions and capabilites, but I am not a supporter of the way we marched Ukraine into this mess. Now apparently Estonia and Poland want to have a go. How about we just fix ourselves and our borders and our economy.
It is pretty easy to notice no one is asking us to attack Iran, while our troops might be the only way Ukraine can “win”.
Nothing contradictory in noting Russia is evil AND that Russia is likely to win no matter what we do. Time to work on a negotiated settlement because POLITICS ISN’T ABOUT MORALITY, BUT WHAT IS POSSIBLE.

It’s not what I’m doing, far from it.
What I do is keeping everyone awake concerning the unpleasant truth about what is going on in the world as we speak. As we all know our freedom hasn’t come for free... Nearly all wars start with peace-at-any-cost activists. They give the necessary leeway for aggressors to commit crime and start those wars. Weakness attracts wars.
