President Biden declared Sunday that things got “kind of bad” when he was vice president during the COVID-19 pandemic — even though the virus hit more than three years after he left office.

The 81-year-old Biden, who finished his eight years as Barack Obama’s veep in January 2017, suggested he was still in post at the time of the outbreak during a campaign event with the NAACP.

“When I was vice president, things were kind of bad during the pandemic and what happened was, Barack said to me, ‘Go to Detroit! Help fix it,'” Biden said.

“Well, the poor mayor, he’s spent more time with me than he ever thought he’s gonna have to!” the president added.

No, I can’t imagine that. That part is typical Biden BS for sure!

Biden was wearing a Mike Pence costume the whole time? (S)

Or maybe Mike Pence is wearing a Joe Biden costume now! A real Scooby Doo moment.

I get your point. But would you trust him to do anything as complicated as organizing the salt display at a supermarket?

Oh yes - that one - where Obama/Biden depleted the emergency supply stocks and didn’t replace them, leaving us sitting ducks for the next pandemic (and this was blamed on Trump).

What is amazing to me is that Biden was determined to be too senile to be prosecuted for storing classified documents in his garage, but he is not too senile to run for President with all of the responsibilities and duties of the President and Commander-in-Chief.

Someone please explain this to me.

OK, but can you imagine anyone, even Obama, saying to Biden, ‘Go to Detroit! Help fix it,’? (Regardless of what ‘it’ is?

Right - why would Biden have been sent to "fix" it? And why would Detroit have been the destination to do so?

Here's another problem...the current mayor of Detroit did not take office until 2014...this was years after the H1N1 pandemic - and Biden said this: “When I was vice president, things were kind of bad during the pandemic and what happened was, Barack said to me, ‘Go to Detroit! Help fix it,'” Biden said. “Well, the poor mayor, he’s spent more time with me than he ever thought he’s gonna have to!” the president added.

So what Biden said makes zero sense regardless of which pandemic he was talking about.

He may have been referencing H1N1. But who knows with this guy.

Is H1N1 “covid”? If not, biden looks mentally deficient.

Is it an abandoned supermarket? That hasn’t seen a customer in 10 years?

If so, we may be on to something ...

Next, Biden spoke of the time he was in a dog-fight with the Red Baron, but to save on fossil fuels they landed near Naples and — true story — invented the frozen pizza, which is why stores sell Red Baron pizzas today.

The problem with this theory is that whoever is the actual president right now (most likely Obama) is not just going to give it up to anyone. People don’t just give up their power.

You make an excellent point, however consider...

...Moochelle.

Not sure B. Obama would take a chance he could control her.

But see post 29...even if that’s what he meant, what he said still doesn’t make any sense about spending so much time with the mayor.
