I've never made a racist post ---like I've said --my family doctors are Hispanic --are yours? I've got 2 Hispanic kids living in my home --do you?

I agree, but it doesn't reflect common sense. The common sensical thing to do would be to have an immigration "time-out" for at least ten years, and then institute immigration policies of no more than $100,000 per year, whereby the majority are from European countries, and a much smaller amount from the rest of the world.

You're right of course, but I would actually go further.

In the current historical context, where we have the Welfare State, Affirmative Action, and Multiculturalism within, and the Islamic fandamentalists without, I think the best choice is closing the borders to all immigrants period -- until further notice.

I didn't say that the Mexican flood was the result of the immigration act. Social Welfare, lax border control, higher quotas, apathy of politicians, special interest groups, etc. seem to be the main issues.

"Trying to slander any individual with the race card, even if race is a part of the conversation, shows a serious deficiency in real debate, not to mention a serious, vile attitude at which one is "out for blood". Get off your high horse. Answer the question? Will you not be happy until white people are a minority in America? Or, do you favor immigration policies that will reduce white people to a minority in the country within 20 years?"

I apologize. I had you figured all wrong.

There should be immigration but at a much lower level, it should be legal, it should be people who at least speak a bit of English, they should be people whose skills are needed and they should not be concentrating in areas of extreme unemployment. Do you know there are several border counties with unemployment rates of over 20% and do you think that is a great thing?

Okay, bring up the race card again. Wow, you can be counted on to do that. Every time, I can assure you.

Why do you hate white people so much?

There also culturally socialist.

All you have to do to change Dane's opinion on this issue is remind him that Cheech from Cheech and Chong is Mexican. He'll be patroling the border himself by midnight!

Not 100% correct. You are also referring to family reunification. This is the policy that discriminates against most Americans in favor of recent immigrants in that it allows a citizen or resident alien to bring into the U.S. other family members.

The inequity lies in the fact that Americans who have been in the U.S. for two, three or more generations no longer have close family members outside the U.S. Recent immigrants have loads of close family that obtain green cards who then bring in their close family members who obtain green cards. It works something like AMWAY.

higher quotas

As I said before, pre 1964 there were NO quotas for the Western Hemisphere. What caused the flood is that Mexico began to develop economically, giving more Mexicans the capacity for mobility, and as Hispanic communities developed away from the border, support mechanisms were in place for friends and neighbors from the home country to join their friends and relatives.

Due to the slowing population growth rate in Mexico, and the Western Hemisphere in general, and the future growth in Mexican per capita income levels (due to development, a more middle class culture, and lower population growth), the rate of immigration from that part of the world will substantially fall off in the next 10 years.

Is Calico an oil company? I know that Texaco and Conoco are. At least they sell gasoline.

How could so many Republicans be so wrong about the effects of mass Latino immigration on the future of the Republican Party? And be so pro-illegal alien amnesty?

It appears to me that, following the lead of G.W. Bush, Republicans care more about "cheap labor" for their businesses and pocketbooks than they do about either their country or their party. There was a time when I thought Republicans were only misguided about these Immigrant Democrat voters. But with the loss of California to Democrats and soon to be lost Texas, I am convinced that support for the third world Immigrants is deliberate. However, the real blame for this situation goes to all those Republican voters whoe refuse to elect pro-American conservatives.

LOL!!! That's funny. But true because someone who wants totally open borders and unlimited immigration should realize where almost 100% of our hard drugs come from ---and who brings them in. I don't think Dane has followed the rise of the Mexican drug cartels too well and how they've developed their vast network in the US.

Latino's are a natural fit for the Republican party, they are cultuarlly conservative, but all you do is push them away with your xenophobic rantings and the demo's exploit that.

A "natural fit for the Republican party" - Republicans want cheap labor and the Latinos supply it. Sure, Latinos are "culturally conservative" FOR THE LATINO CULTURE. I'll believe you when I see Hispanic voters begin to elect conservatives.

What clowns? What's a Mechista? If Americans are going to fight to the death against Mexicans, we may be too late. At least 15 million Mexicans are already here, legally and otherwise, not to mention millions of other Latinos.

As for the Spanish language statement, that is exactly what La Raza (a radical Mexican group of US-based activists) are saying about Aztlan. Perhaps I was too subtle, but I'm against their program and against all illegal immigration from anywhere. OK?
