Alas, xm, you haven't been paying attention. Sobran, who--believe it or not--was once a witty and insightful writer--long ago degenerated into a gibbering bigot. Anybody who quotes the notorious Institute for Historical Review, and refers to David Duke as an "alleged" anti-Semite is telling you all you need to know. But believe me, Sobran's been dealing out this crapola for years now. It's really quite sad.

Wanna wallow in more of this Sobranian filth? Here's a link to the Institute for Historical Review, an utterly appalling collection of Holocaust "revisionists."

You're right, he's been openly affiliated with them a long time.
The Institute for Historical Review is the intellectual organ of Holocaust revisionism or, as its enemies call it, Holocaust "denial." It produces a scholarly bi-monthly magazine, Journal of Historical Review, which deals not only with the Holocaust but with a range of other historical topics. It runs long and fascinating articles on such subjects as Lincoln's real views about race.

Charges that the IHR is anti-Semitic and pro-Nazi are belied by the Journal's calm and reasonable tone, in contrast to the shrillness and violence of its enemies.

This is very sad...Sobran used to at least seem fairly reasoned in his columns.

Well, once again our First Amendment triumphs.
When citizens have an inalienable right (or as close as an institution of humans can
afford) to freely speak their minds and hearts, it's as good as the "give 'em enough rope"
and they usually end up hanging themselves(figuratively) in the public square.
