People have taken the belief that Dogs will join them in their ‘heaven’, and this is part of a larger philosophical argument that the same people don’t delve deep enough into, leaving out so many considerations beyond the cuteness of their little pooch.
Dogs have been deemed good, since they follow the commands of human beings, thus will join their ‘master’ in heaven. This follows that there must be ‘evil’ animals, however do these ‘other’ animals who don’t follow the commands of humans, animals that are not good, are these animals aware of their being? Does a Lion even know what it is? Is it evil because it will eat a human being given the chance? Does a man-eating Lion enter the depths of hell upon death?
It must be asked. If a dog goes to heaven, as truly just another animal, what other animals are in heaven? Are all the dinosaurs in heaven as well? Even though a Tyrannosaurus Rex was a carnivore, does that make it evil, because it preyed upon lesser equipped dinosaurs, perhaps dinosaurs that only ate plants? Are the good, more docile plant eating dinosaurs in heaven and not the carnivores? How does that work? Or is it truly just the dogs in heaven, and dogs are good because we are the master, and they the servant. Dogs deserve our undying protection, they are more than just animals?
I can’t understand it all.
