There’s just something very sketchy about this public release of information from Judge Merchan in New York City. Merchan doesn’t have an integrity bone and the comment he is bringing attention toward is innocuous and random. However, Merchan could be trying to get Trump to violate the gag order aspect and talk about jurors; thereby making the sentencing worse. According to information Merchan is providing the lawyers in the Trump case, a comment was made on the court’s FaceBook page indicating one of the jurors said the Trump guilty verdict was predetermined. Imagine being in a church where you’re told you can’t have a public opinion on anything without the approval of your pastor. Imagine being in such a cult that your church controls what you post on Facebook. We’re not talking about publishing heresy or sin but having an opinion that your pastor simply doesn’t like. You may remember from a few weeks ago, the Stronger Men’s Conference hosted by James River Church in Springfield, Missouri, turned into a spectacle more befitting a Las Vegas strip club than a Christian gathering. The controversy erupted when Mark Driscoll, a prominent and often...

They're studying Facebook posts. They're using frame-by-frame video screenshots of faces to match with gargantuan databases of named faces. They're seeking and taking tips from "friends" and relatives and ex-boyfriends. For the UCLA Jewish students who got into a scrap with pro-Hamas illegal campout protestors, no doubt after hearing a slew of antisemitic statements and being blocked from attending class, they're doing exactly what they did to identify and hunt down January 6 protestors. According to the Los Angeles Times, which reports this like it was a good thing: It is shaping up to be perhaps the biggest case in...

Some home sales make a big splash, while others happen with little fanfare. A recent one, involving a property that's been linked to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, was of the latter variety. According to a report from the Real Deal, the four-bedroom, 3.5-bath mansion on about 3.5 acres in Woodside, CA, passed from one limited liability corporation to another in a $29.6 million deal a couple of weeks ago. Zuckerberg didn't keep the Woodside place for very long. An entity linked to his name shows that he purchased the 4,800-square-foot home, which is about 30 miles south of San Francisco,...
